Talking Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper

I bought this before I started SBD when I was an avid Coke drinker. It tasted awful so it sat in the back of my fridge. Well tonight I got thirsty and was sick of water so decided to taste it and yummm! It is amazing how good it tastes now that I havent had coke.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else might wanna give it a shot!

I absolutley love the diet cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper. I was afraid it would taste like cough syrup, the way diet cherry coke does. but was pleasantly suprised.

Isn't funny how different our taste buds are? I can't stand the lemon flavored coke either, to me it leaves an alka seltzer like aftertaste. I do like the lime flavored coke and vanilla coke. I think the lemon pepsi is a smidgen bit better, but still easily passed up. What's really funny about that is I add lemon juice to my diet coke all the time when I'm at a restaraunt.

But to answer your question, yes, I think that cherry coke taste like cough syrup. Or maybe it's the aftertaste, I'm not sure.

That's why they make so many different varieties, to satisify everyone!

I used to think all diet soda tasted awful period, but now that I dont have coke or juice it tastes like such a treat. I make sure to only have it once or twice a day so its like a treat for me and I feel like I am cheating. In these 4 days I have wrote down everything I eat and I swear sometimes it feels like I am cheating and not on a diet plan when I really am. After trying so many diets and hearing this kind of talk from everyone except me its great to finally say I think something is working!

Default How about Coke Zero?

Has anyone else tried the new Coke Zero? I swear it tastes like real coke.

Who else remembers when there was only Tab? I STILL say there's nothing quite like a REALLY cold Tab out of a cooler on the REALLY hot beach. (sigh) Baby oil on your skin and lemon juice in your hair. Guess I'm showing my age!

I think Diet Coke with Splenda takes like real coke but I prefer the taste of Diet! I guess I have just gotten used to it.

I love Diet Cherry Coke and Diet Vanilla Coke so I tried the Diet Cherry Vanilla DR. Pepper. But it still tasted like Dr. Pepper which is sweeter than I like so I'll stick with Diet Coke. I rarely drink soda anyway or else I would just open a can of eat and try mixing it myself.

I mainly drink hot tea at work (it may be almost 100 outside but it is 70 inside) and water at home (sometimes Crystal Light Lemonade).

Probably the one thing I didn't indulge in was soda... I do like the Zero Coke.. Will have a glass once in awhile... I like Ice tea mainly...sometimes crystal lite lemonade...
NOW MY DH on the otherhand, he's got at least a 6 pack a day diet pepsi habit that I wish he would break!

OH MY Gosh... TAB, yep, my mom and dad would get a case a week of that.. We were allowed 1 or maybe 2 cans a week ...Lemon juice and baby oil... I think you and I are around the same baby boomer age!

Leslie, you really are showing your age. But I'm right there along with you. I remember when baby oil was the favorite sun tan lotion, you'd slowly cook in the sun to get that nice deep burn because it would turn into a tan eventually. And the lemon juice! Yes I remember. Mom always wondered why we were going through the jar of lemon juice so often in the summer.

Tab <gag> never did aquire that taste. I wasn't drinking diet soda at that time. I was so glad when other diet sodas came out on the market. My sister always said, "just drink it, you'll get used to it." Maybe I have strange taste buds?

Sarah -- lemon diet coke tastes to me, like lemon Pledge would if you spritzed the furniture polish in your mouth!!!

I don't care for the Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper, but love Diet Cherry Coke! And lime! And Reg. Diet. Dr. Pepper!

Leslie - totally!!! I remember and I am only 27!

Watch out for the whipped cream, okay? If you're getting the kind in the can, it has sugar. Go for Cool Whip Free instead, and stick to 2 Tbsp.

I love the Diet CV Dr. Pepper too...but boy does it have a lot of red food coloring in it!

I also adore both Diet Vanilla Pepsi, Diet Coke with Lime, and Diet Vanilla Coke. I don't like either of the lemon varieties, though I love a slice of lemon in a diet coke.
