Good morning and Happy Day 3 for me!
So far I'm doing very well. Yesterday was my big sis' b-day and we celebrated it at O'Charley's. It almost KILLED me not to eat the rolls but I didn't!! I ordered Black and Bleu salad. It had bleu cheese dressing (which I probably shouldn't have had) and some slices of steak. It was really good. I picked the croutons off. So all in all I did very well I think Today is day 3 of P1. I will post what I've eaten at the end of the day today! Wish me luck!! And GOOD LUCK to all of you!
@JustJess
Hey!! I like carrots! Could I actually start eating a small amount of carrots? I hope so because I have some frozen stir fry veggies w/ carrots that I would like to dig into tonight...possibly a chicken stir fry!

Here is what I had yesterday:
Break: 2 eggs one piece lf cheese, 1/2 cup peppers, tea
snack: 8 almonds
lunch: left over taco bake, 1 cup yogurt
snack: 1 cup yogurt w/salad with veggies
dinner: grilled lemon chicken w/veggies and lima beans
Question: My son gets Mcdonalds nuggets a lot, am I allowed to have a cheeseburger without the bread occas instead of chicken or a salad?

No carrots in phase 1.
If you really want ketchup then you can buy the Heinz One Carb (I think is the name) that uses Splenda instead of sugar. You could put some in a small container and bring it with you. But kyemom is right, hamburgers will be too high in fat at most restaurants. And in some places may contain fillers.
It really is best to avoid fast food if you can during phase 1.

Justjess: I hope you know I wasn't being a smarta@@ about the carrots, just trying to help you, I want you to do great on this!!! congrats on beating temptation at Wendys yesterday! Did anyone ever find out if the chili was ok at Wendys or not?
Nate&Kaylie's mom: Congrats on beating temptation, you have the strength to make it all the way, You overcame the funnel cake!!!
Day 3, so far so good.
I feel great, and my stomach seems flatter already, can't wait to weigh in on Friday! Been working out and feeling good, no headaches or woosey feelings yet, hopefully won't. Same foods as yesterday, but switched from green beans to ranch style beans. Watch out!
Hello to everyone, and good luck today!

Hello
Well, this morning I couldn't help but weigh myself, and since Monday I'm down 3 pounds! I am so motivated about SB. I'm already getting rid of my cravings, thank goodness!!!
I'm not going to weigh myself till Monday! It really inspires me to read all of your posts!!! Thanks for the inspiration!
So, how is everyone elses Wednesday going?? I'm bored at work, I hate that!!!! (But at least I have time to check out this message board! )
Erin Crista
I have one question, in phase one are u only losing water weight?? Is 3 pounds normal in 3 days?? Thanks in advance!

Erin-
I was so close to weighing in today just to see. I was almost on the scale when I put it away and said I have to wait till monday!! Good going though! With Atkins I lost a little over a lb a day but I hated it. I feel so much better on this plan and hope to have close to the same results.
Spillthebeans: I wasnt thinking about cake until you mentioned funnel cake!!! lol

Today was an okay day. Work was rough today but as far as eating is concerned, I did well. I didn't eat much of a b'fast cause I'm sick of eggs!! (I didn't like them that much anyway. I need to check out the recipes.) I had some sunflower seeds for a snack. Lunch was a grilled chicken salad. Afternoon snack was more sunflower seeds (they're my new obsession!!!) And then for supper I had a low carb thickburger w/veggies only for supper.
The only bad thing about today was TOM. I have had the worst craving for a snickers. I sent dh out for some s/f fudgesicles.
Tomorrow will be a better day.

Ok tonight for dinner I was out so I had a scoop of tuna and a big grilled chicken ceasar salad. I am allowed the salad dressing as long as its not too much right?
Also am I supposed to be counting any kind of fat and calories? My husband said my dinner was too much and too fatty but I thought it was ok.. Anyone know??

Hi Chicks
Kimberly - for salad dressing, if you 're using a pre-made one in a bottle check that it does not contain more than 3g sugar per serving. I tend to use about 1TBS to dress my salad. Its a big mind switch getting away from thinking all fat is bad. Some fats (like olive oil and fish oil) are very good for you, so I understand your concern about it.
Sunkissed, I know exactly what you mean about the scale. Every time I go into the bathroom its there, encouraging me to step on! I'm determined to wait until Monday morning.
Well its not so hot here today, I'm pleased to say. Still humid, but temps are only just touching 80 degrees- it feels cool
Have a great day!
