Question Veggie Dip

OK I need another receipe check from you chicks. I have this wonderful veggie dip receipe that I think I can make SB friendly but want a second opinion.

1 cup Sour Cream (can use fat free)
2/3 cup Best Foods Mayo (can use reduced fat)
1 Tblsp Onion Flakes
1 Tblsp Parsley Flakes
1 teas Dill Weed
1 teas Beau Monde (this is the one I'm concerned about)

Beau Monde ingredients:
Salt, Dextrose, Onion, Celery Seed, Silicone Dioxide

I have made it with the low fat items before and all though not as creamy it is just as flavorful as the full fat receipe.

Can I keep the Beau Monde and still be SB friendly with the other subs I listed or do I need to try add salt, more onion(?) and celery seed to see if I can come up with the same flavor?

I think the Beau Monde is just fine.

Dextrose (which is sugar...most items ending in the suffix -ose are sugars) is an issue, hon.

Why not try it like this:

1 cup Sour Cream (can use fat free)
2/3 cup Best Foods Mayo (can use reduced fat)
1 Tblsp Onion Flakes
1 Tblsp Parsley Flakes
1 teas Dill Weed
1/2 teas onion powder
1/2 teas celery seed
salt, to taste
splenda (or other sweetener), to taste...if you need it.

Be aware the the fat in mayo is good fat, and often light mayo has more sugar is in. You may want to go with the full fat, or 1/3 cup full fat, 1/3 cup reduced fat.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Laurie I hadn't thought about subbing onion powder. I had thought about using celery salt instead of celery seeds though. Haven't looked at ingredients on the celery salt yet. Will give it a try this weekend and see what I can come up with.
