Hello Ladies,

Are any of you all eating peanut butter? I purchased a jar of the natural peanut butter and it really looked gross. I know the lowfat one I have is not on ph1, but that is what really helps me get through these first few days. Any suggestions on Peanut Butter?

I have bought Trader Joe's and the Smucker's natural. how does it look gross? Is the oil on top? You have to mix it it tastes GREAT! I think you could add some splenda to it if it's not sweet enough for you.

I use Smucker's Natural. Take a butter knife and go up and down to mix in the oil. Once it is well mixed, keep it in the refrigerator and you won't have to remix it. I don't use it often but it is good. You get used to it not being so sweet after awhile. I have also heard of some people who mix Splenda in if they like it sweeter. Make sure you keep it to the 2TBSP limit and don't eat peanut butter if you eat nuts (or eat a half serving of each).

1Day

I was doing strictly low-carb and lost the 55 pounds but I got stuck for months. I would go back and forth with the same 4 pounds so I decided to go to the beach to jump start my weight loss again. It seems to be working. I have lost another 5 pounds since Monday. It's all good.

Hello Ladies,

Becka - 5 lbs since monday that is great. I think i'm only at 2lbs. I have got to start exercising. I always seem to lose about 6 lbs then get stuck for a while, then end up gaining back. I can't seem to get past 165 lbs. I think it's probably a mental thing too.

Barb & Jenne - I think i'll buy try some of the Smuckers' brand. I'm not sure what I had purchased, but yes the oil was at the top, but it seemed alot coarser. I just looked bad. I think that is part of my problem too, I don't ever try new things. I tend to eat the same old stuff.
That will be my goal for this week..try something new.

Do you have any breakfast ideas? I have been eating hard boiled eggs, or i'll eat Turkey breast from the deli with cheese. I'm getting tired of that.

thanks

When I have the time I like to heat up some olive oil and add chopped mushroom and onions (or green onions). Once they are cooked I add Eggbeaters (or an egg that has been stirred first) on top of the veggies. I cook on one side flip and then add a slice of 2% swiss cheese (choose your favorite cheese). In phase 2 I put this inside a WW tortilla.

Usually I eat phase 2 meals like oatmeal with fruit or mini WW bagel with yogurt or fruit.

Hello Ladies,

Thanks Barb for tips. I purchased some of that Da Vinc syrup. Going to try and add that maybe to the ricotta cheese. Any idea on what else to use that with?

Day 4 for me. Still having a hard time getting my water in.

I don't care for plain milk but I love milk with added DaVinci or Torani syrup. Chocolate with a little Creme de Menthe is really good
I also like Vanilla. I've added it to yogurt but never seem to get the flavor just right so I mainly use it with milk.

I too am in p1. On day 5 today. It is amazing how much beter I feel by the end of the first week (2nd time p1).

For those of you who were talking about peanut butter, I have a store in the area that carries bulk foods. They have a nut grinder there and I just grind my own peanut butter. No salt or sugar is added. It tastes quit a bit different that the other sugar peanut butters but after I used it for a while I now can't stand the sugar loaded stuff. I store it in the fridge and it tastes as good at the end of the month as it does at the beginning of the month.

Thanks Shelby's Mom - I didn't even think of going to our Whole Foods store here. I'm pretty sure they have one of those machines there. Last night I purchased the Smuckers so i'll try that today.

Barb - thanks for the tips on adding that with milk. Where do you find Torani syrup? My walmart here only has the DaVinci brands, for a while they only carried the sf vanilla and the hazlenut. One day I noticed they had sf raspberry. So i'm going to try that with the ricotta and now i'll try with milk and yogurt.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I was getting Artesan and Torani brand at Marshalls and then I found out that World Marketplace had DaVinci and had more flavors. So I shop at both. I have heard that TJ Maxx also has the syrups but I haven't been there to check.

Yup, Marshall's is a clothing store. They have a section with flavored oils and SF syrups. World Market had a larger selection though.
