Hi ladies!
Just looking for some advice from the veterans out there. I am 1 week and 3 days into Phase 1 and have lost a total of 3lbs, all over last Friday and Saturday and noting since. Is it something I am doing wrong? Could you pls look at my typical day menu and comment? Your input would be very appreciated.
Morning:
2 boiled eggs, whites only
1.5 cup 1% milk with vanilla (fat free, sugar-free diabetic flavor, 7 cals)
Snack:
1 wrapped slice of Kraft fat-free american cheese
Lunch:
Green salad with either chickpeas or grilled chicken breast
Pepsi 1
Snack:
15 nuts (usu almonds)
Dinner:
1 chicken breast, grilled (I have cheated once and had a chicken wing with this, no skin)
1 cucumber
1.5-2 cups lentil soup (home-made with small amount of olive oil)
Also, I do an aerobic workout at the gym 30 mins every other day.
Any ideas as to why I'm not losing?
Thansk so much!
I was going to say the same thing about the veggies
I usually scramble either an egg or egg beaters with onion/bell peppers/mushrooms/tomatos or what ever you like and there's my veggies in the morning...or I drink a 6 oz glass of V8.
Thank you all for your great advice!!!
I was hoping the green salad/fewer calories would help me lose weight more, but doesn't seem to be working so far. So I'll add more veggies and let everyone know how the rest of the week goes (fingers crossed for more weight loss). Also, is there any resource that talks about Phase-1 friendly food at restaurants? I have friends coming on the long weekend and expect to be around restaurants a lot (Cheesecake factory, Korean restaurants/Chinese). I can just say I'm on a diet and not eat when I go out with them, but its a lot easier to just know stuff that's eatable in Phase 1. I've figured the scrambled eggs with veggies w/o cheese or bread at Cheesecake are OK on phase 1. Any ideas on OK Chinese foods?
Dang, I should just have been more careful what I ate during my pregnancy and I would have saved myself all of this.....
Please check out the Good Veggies in the post in the FAQ. Cutting calories does not work - think nutrition.
By the way, I've lost only 3.5 pounds and weigh a whole lot more than you so don't be discouraged!
Hang in there. Your body my just be going thru a reorganization phase. Also, try to look for the NSV (non scale victory). Things like how do your clothes fell. How do you feel?
