Ok Chickies I taped Desperate Housewives lastnight but for some reason the vcr cutoff when Brea was makin the bed....what happened after that? We watched Survivor. I was so glad Tom won although I really wanted Stephanie to win! I am a Bachelor watcher but I am pullin for Sarah. I could not stand the other Sarah..OMG what a twit! lol

Sounds like there a lot of us belly sleepers out there. After I had my back surgery my doc really scolded me about sleepin on my stomach but as soon as I was able I was flipped right over! lol

I think I will go putter around in the back garden that is lookin like a jungle! lol

Hi gals...all heck has broken loose in my life lately. My DD (who is awaiting surgery on Wednesday) was in the ER on Friday...the 13th!! ARGH...she has been in so much pain..she is only 2 yrs old..she was vomiting bowel...but, they sent her home that day, to wait for her surgery on Wednesday. I was ready to spit nails at them! Since then, she has been this greyish color and she has been complaining of stomach pain...I can't wait until Wednesday.

She had gotten sick in my kitchen and then in the car on the way home from the hospital...so, I had to wash my rugs..and my washing machine died (yes, Friday 13th) and then I had to clean my entire car, which consists of 2 carseats...etc...by myself...cause DH was in Florida for a management meeting...then, we had a huge storm...with tornado spottings...same day!

I slipped away from the beach...I needed comfort and I am still in that stage where food gives that to me...then I feel like an idiot...why do I even post here??? If I can't reform myself..why try to talk to others???

Please pray for my DD...pray for her not to be in pain...once Wednesday is here, she will be better..we hope...I have taken the week off work to comfort her and be here...I couldn't leave her.

Sarah, I'm so sorry about your little girl. I will certainly be saying prayers for her. Please keep us posted, hon.

Oh, Sarah, I'll keep your daughter in my prayers.

Well, I just heard we are having a lunchean at work tomorrow. Barbecue. I asked specifics and I am pretty sure every single thing is off plan. I'll go with the chicken and take the skin off. I know the brisket and sausage are too high in fat. I'm going to make a 4 bean salad with Splenda and bring it in so I can avoid the potato salad and coleslaw and dinner rolls. I might just make a strawberry pie to avoid the cobbler. They actually chose this meal as a healthier alternative to pizza but I think I would have prefered a few slices of pizza and a salad.

Sarah, lots of prayer and healing energy for both of you. Don't forget to take care of yourself so that you can take care of her.

Hey Chicks!

I am dragging today after my wedding yesterday! The good news is that everything went off really well! Another couple married and getting ready to go on their honeymoon. This wedding was originally scheduled in September but, OOPS, the bride got pregnant! It was stifling yesterday and, of course, their colors were black & red. I always try to match the wedding so I was in a black suit with red underneath. It was really hot! It really is impossible to stay OP at a wedding. By the time we get a chance to eat, anything sounds good! However, I get a TON of exercise in by being on my feet for a good 12 hours!

My sister didn't have her baby over the weekend. She goes into the doctor today for a final check and is going to be induced tomorrow. I won't be around here tomorrow and will hopefully figure out a way to stay OP. I'm sure it won't be very easy at the hospital but I just have to keep thinking about Hawaii in a few weeks! I just received the new TransFIRMer from The Firm that I'm going to use to hopefully get me into better bathingsuit shape. I wasn't able to start it this morning though. I got up and almost fell down from my feet throbbing so much. Gotta love running around at weddings!

My grandma is still in the convalescent home. Her back is apparently pretty messed up. We came to find out that an aide at the other convalescent home let a door close on her back which started the back pain. They are thinking that may have led to her falling again. Either way, she's stuck in the home until she can sit/stand on her own again.

That's about it for me for now! I've got to get some work done today even though I just wanna take a nap!

Christy, someone else may have posted this, but if you all all of that fruit and starch on one day, you'll have trouble isolating what is working and what isn't. Try sticking with just the morning oatmeal for a week. If that works well, then you can add one thing and do that for a whole week before deciding what to change next. I find that having a starch in the morning makes me crave all day. If I have it after lunch, I'm fine. Not sure if you are the same, but that might explain why you are hungry.

Amy, I like leek and potato soup, but just plain leek soup does not sound good. :P What is the rationale for doing this? How does the book describe it?

Sarah, hon, you are having a really hard time of it! Please don't ever feel like you can't post here...especially when you are off plan. That's when you need to post the most. I'll keep you and your little one in my prayers. What's DD's first name?

CJ, your poor grandma! I hope she feels better soon! I hope that your feet feel better soon, too.

I guess because I lost 50 lbs eating oatmeal and egg whites for b'fast, chicken and apples for lunch and more chicken and rice for dinner, (Plus veggies etc.) I figure I'm going to be ok. So far so good. I really think wheat is my problem, but even after having some yesterday I seem to be doing ok! Thanks for the advice though. I'm taking it slow and I'm always eating a protein with a fruit or starch. I've learned that from the past. Tomorrow I'm going to have eggs with my oatmeal to give me more protein and see if that helps.

Keep having a great day everyone.

Huggs to you Sarah.

Hello to Each and Everyone,

I just read all the post and realize how much I have missed you. Nothing catastophic, just really busy!!! Not doing well at all on SBD, but am still convinced it is the only diet that will work for me at my age and with my metabolism. Also Dr. A just makes a lot of common sense to me, like sugar really does just make me crave more sugar and bread and pasta and rice and anything else that is carb related.

I wouldn't even attempt to mention each one of you, because I would forget someone, however Bamie, hang in there with your knee and Sarah, my prayers are with you and Sammi. I know SBD is important to you, but sometimes we have to do the best we can with what we are dealing with in life.

Hugs and prayers,
Active(Wanda)

ONLY 8 MORE DAYS UNTIL SCHOOL IS OUT!!!!
By the way, not to brag, only to share with my friends on the Beach, I was selected Teacher of the Year, from my school. It really is an humbling honor, also more paper work.

Hope to be able to do better this summer and post daily.
