Cool Just Starting Out

I have decided to start the South Beach Diet. I have been low-carbing for 10 months and have lost 54 pounds but I am bored and stuck. I would like to do the SB WOE but I am having trouble adjusting to not counting my carbs and eating low fat again. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to The Beach. (Perhaps you'd like to post in the Phase I Starters - May 7 and 9 thread. )

Remember this is not a low carb or low fat plan. In Phase I you can eat good carbs like those in dairy and legumes as well as in veggies and are encouraged to use the good fats like olive oil and non-trans-fat spreads.

Be sure to read the Revised Phase I Food List and the other goodies in the FAQ Section.

Good luck but rely on skill and planning.

Welcome, Beck! If you search around, you'll find a Daily Dish post that outlines how to switch from Low Carb to SBD. This plan is really freeing. Just remember that amounts of carbs don't matter. If the item is on the foods to enjoy list, it can have 1,000,000 g of carbs, and we don't care. Kinda fun, huh?

I'll see if I can find that thread for you...

Okay, I collected the breakfast suggestions and posted them here in the FAQ: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...660#post839660
