Talking Candy Bars in a Cup

Hello all! It's been awhile since you've seen me, I know. Let's just say........ .......and we're starting anew! I'm on day 4 of Phase I and feeling ok, though I haven't had nearly enough water today and because of it I'm feeling a bit lethargic. I'll go out and get some soon...

My fiance (got my diamond for Christmas! ) is currently working 2 jobs to help us along with finances and paying for college. His am job is 6am to Noon at the local Dunkin Donuts. Since we're down to one car at the moment, I have to drive in 4 hours early to drop him off and open my office early. It's killing me!!! But I'll survive, at least I know I have a strong man when I go home at night.

OK--now onto my point.

I'm a coffee shop goer, and I've been mixing flavors for years, but I've noticed that the majority of coffeehouses have limited sugar free flavored syrups. French Vanilla and Hazelnut get kind of boring after a while. Wegmans does have some good ones, but again, monotony! YAY for this next part!

This morning was made quite a bit better by my AM stop at Dunkin Donuts. I'm the kind that doesn't mind seeing bread, donuts, and muffins. I don't have to eat them. I went in for my usual skinny latte and found a wonderful surprise! D&D got in a new machine that can spit out 10 new flavors...and the best part...ALL sugar free!

So I had the gals behind the counter mix up some coconut and almond and chocolate.

I can proudly say I had myself an ALMOND JOY for Breakfast! Tomorrow....Chocolate Marshmellow!

So Laurie, if you're still local, get over to Horseheads D&D!

Ooh, Sarah, I just saw this! Yum!!!! I love the coffees at DD, but have been avoiding them because I knew I'd splurge on some sugary syrup. Thanks for the tip!!!

Congrats on the engagement girl!

I am not a coffee drinker, more of a hot tea fan. So, does the flavored syrup make it taste less like coffee and more like candy???? (I know stupid question, but I had to ask)

Well, actually I hate coffee, love espresso. I think it just tastes good!

They actually put it in anything, including the diet soda they sell. I wonder how Marshmellow Diet Pepsi would be...

Marshmellow diet pepsi??? Interesting! My mom swears by some weird soda combinations. She's able to remember soda fountains. I think she once mentioned lemon cokes and I thought that was gross. Now, of course, I love lemon in Diet Coke!

Jen, unless you really hate the flavor of coffee, yes I think the syrups make it taste more like a dessert and less like coffee.
