Check out expedia.com. If you fly from Washington (IAD) you'll probably connect in Montreal or Toronto.

OH BOY - you guys are up and adam early this morning. i'm wide open here at work - so I'm just now checking in.

Anchor ~ hope you have a great time. Try to relax and enjoy it - because if you are like me - when you get home - relaxin' is OVER.

Ellis ~ Missed you yesterday lady. Glad you're back.

Bamie ~ Have fun digging today. I go home every day at lunchtime and admire my work. Not the least bit proud of my gardens My neighbor that passed away 2 years ago was a gardner also. She actually used to work for a florist here in town in her younger days. She loved her flowers too. When she passed, her sons told me to dig up whatever I wanted (as I had weeded for her and transplanted when she got real bad off health wise) and plant it in my yard -so that they could still enjoy her work when they drove by. I have a whole bunch of Peoney and Hydrangea bushes coming up this year. I hope that they can enjoy them as much as I do. I also have some amaryllis that I planted when her husband (who also passed last year) gave them to me from her funeral. They were in a planter that was sent to the house. They are coming up this year also. It gives me pleasure to know that they wanted me to have them. They said that their mom would have wanted her plants taken care of and they didn't know of anyone else who would appreciate them like I do. I know she's in heaven lookin' at her plants and tryin' to tell me what to put on 'em to make 'em grow better. I actually came home from work one day and she was puttin' fertilizer on MY plants (she also planted some hosta around the house that I really didn't want where she put them. But I waited until she passed away to move them Didn't have the heart to do it with her watchin' ) Lord I miss the two of them.

ANYWAY I hope everyone who has one enjoys their garden as much as I do mine!! That is actually the way I relax. I can get out there and dig in the dirt and not have to THINK about ANYTHING at all. Just dig. DH doesn't get it. He's not a yard guy. Doesn't understand how WORK like that can help me relax. Oh well. At least I don't have to worry about him mowing my plants down He is allergic to the lawnmower.

Cottage ~ Little Chick ~ Amy ~ Kim ~ Ruth ~ Sunny Bunny & Beach Bum

and anyone else that may check in later
HAVE A GREAT DAY ~ IT'S GONNA BE 80 DEGREES HERE TODAY ~ SENDING IT TO THOSE OF YOU STILL STUCK IN FROSTBITE WORLD

Morning everyone!! I'm not feeling so hot this morning, so I stayed in bed for a while.
I just started some laundry & I'm on the first cup of coffee.
I work late tonight - again! At least my boss is on vacation, so a few extra lates is a small price to pay for some peace & quiet!!
Anchor - have a great trip - bring back some warm weather for all of us!!

Snow?!?! Oh no... I really hope we don't have another storm too. I'm seeing lots of rain in for forecast, which I can live with, just no more snow! hehe

It's looking very nice outside today. I think it got up to 15 yesterday, gorgeous!!! I just wish I wasn't inside all day for work. I think I'll go for an extra long walk at lunch.

Hope everyone else has a great day.

Hi Danni - nice to see you posting in the daily. I don't know where you live in Ontario, but it's sure gorgeous here today.

I'm still not in the bath! I forgot to run the tub after my first post, started it and just discovered it is boiling hot water as I forgot to turn on any cold. Oy! Somehow I think I'd better not use any machinery or make financial decisions today!

Thanks Ruth. Yes, it's IAD. So I fly to Toronto or Montreal then connect to St. John? How large a city is it. See, I have this thing about small planes and I really try to avoid places I can't fly to in a big plane! But this conference is really important so I may suck it up.

Rayneysmom, I hear you on the gardening. I'll be doing my first pass at my new garden this weekend and I know my mom who passed away in November will be kibitzing the whole time from heaven!

It certainly is not a BIG city - I don't know the population. It may be a smaller plane from Montreal but not a five seater. I'm pretty sure they have a paved runway too! Just kidding!

Check out expedia for flights. They usually tell you flight number and type of plane. Here's a link to some St John info.

Hey! Little Chick lives there. Maybe you can PM her and get the real scoop!

Get'n Serious, St. John is a lovely city. If you can, you should check out the Market, and also the graveyard in the park. (can't remember the name, but it has the oldest graves in Canada there)

Kelly, I totally know what you mean about gardening. It's one of my favourite things to do. And you're right... it's mindless, in a very nice way.

Beach Bum, we can get frosts that late, too. I remember a few years ago when it snowed in June!

Soon2b, feel better soon, hon!

Danille, we could use a little rain here. Actually, a good downpour would be nice... the streets are FILTHY!

Sunnybunny, enjoy your beautiful weather!

Ruth, couldja send a couple of robins down this way, please?
I've got clothes on the line... it's heavenly out!

Ok...Let's just say I bought way toooo many flowers for those 3 boxes! lol I planted me some Snap Dragons, Petunias, and New Guine Impatients. (sp?????) I'm not a big gardner person. Especially with my knee because I cannot bend down on my one knee. I love to look at everything! lol But now that we live here I am tryin to do a lil more outside. I made me up some hangin baskets with some of the petunias. I need to figure out where I want to put the rest of them and the Snap Dragons. I have several bushes starting to bloom. I don't know what most of them are though! lol My tulips are blooming as well. It was 78 and sunny here today. Calling for storms tonight and tomorrow. We have an away game tomorrow night at 7. I am hoping it does not get rained out.

Kelly...That was such a sweet story about your neighbors! I could feel the love as you talked about them. I can tell you really miss them. Oh by the way ya better watch braggin on our good weather down here. Ruth will getcha with her chicken purse if she is having bad up there! lol

Well I'm scootin off here. Have a great evening all!
