I am only on Day 5 of P1 . I feel cranky , lethargic and feel like I am not going to make it through the rest of the day. All I want to do is go home and crash . I have 3 more hours on my shift ( as an RN) , church tonight plus I promised my sister I would go to Curves tonight with her. Is this normal ? Should I be feeling physically and emotionally terrible on P1? I want this to work but I am so discouraged...Just needing to hear your thoughts
The first week can be rough. Remember, your body is detoxing from sugar. You might want to slow down on the exercise a little until at least next week, or even Phase II.
Hang in there, girl... it gets better!

Make sure you are getting the carbs that you need. Beans are a lifesaver in phase 1. You do NOT want to go into ketosis. Eat plenty of vegetables and drink lots of water. It does get easier soon though. I know I didn't start exercising until I started phase 2.

My 2 cents here...don't let your blood sugar drop too far on this phase. It is easy to do. Soooo, make sure you are getting enough of the right carbs...veggies, beans, etc.

Thank you so much !! I appreciate the advice , I was just going through a lot when I posted. Maybe I will skip the Curves this week and give my body time to adjust. I think too that I am not getting enough to eat b/c I am so used to counting "points and fat grams " that on SBD I am a little apprehensive about all this food. Anyway , thank ya'll bunches!!! i feel much better and it is great to know I can come to this board when I need a lift
