Hi everyone. I finally have a few minutes to post here. We have had a chaotic couple of weeks and it doesn't promise to get any better. We will get through, though. AND back to work today after the three day long weekend...
Bamie - Congrats on the exercise. Keep working at it, it will get easier and better. You must take some pics of the floor. It is worth the work that you put in to it. WTG. About the extra table... You wouldn't like my answer, considering I am the worst packrat going. We have a 3500 sq ft house and still can't park cars in the garage and have one bedroom stuff with extra things. Good luck, though.
Chipper - I'm getting in a bit late, but hoping that you enjoyed your free day. Take care.
tlc - You make me envious. I have been trying to get the motivation to do taxes for the past 2 weeks...I just can't figure out why I can't get them done. A few years ago, DH went to China for a month at tax filing time. The day he left, I took a day off work to drive him to the airport. I went home after and did his taxes, filed them via the telephone (6700 refund), got the check and spent it before he got home.

Come to think of it, he's going away again this week... How was the babysitting? I just thought it would be cool to babysit a 17 year old. DH keeps saying that he wants to adopt a 17 year old girl, so, what the heck!
2BFit - Take care of yourself. The weight gain and unhealthy eating aren't worth it. you can do this. Make sure that you don't get too busy and forget about eating properly. That can happen waaaaay too easily.
Laurie - Do you get the time off during break? We had reading break last week, but we have to work, still. Can bowl down the hallways it is so quiet. Some of our students are still on break this week, so it isn't quite as busy as it could be. Take care of yourself during your exercising. You don't want to get hurt doing those body beautiful exercises...just get beautiful.
Amber - Good to hear that you are on the mend with the teeth. I had mine done last June and found it difficult to open my mouth for a couple of months. I also experienced numbness on my jaw, teeth and tongue that took a long time to clear up. I have been lucky because the dentist said that the numbness could have been permanent.
Anchor - Hope the teacher-parent conference goes well. There are always concerns with children who are going to a new school. Hope everything goes well.
kissjoy - My vote is for the honey maple. I'm not much of a fan of the natural wood ones. We wanted new cabinets a few years ago, but couldn't afford the price of them - as you well know. DH stripped the old ones, removed the dark stain and redid them the honey walnut color. I am so much happier with them now.
tascat - Sounds like you are busy with renos and moving. Take care and keep posting with us to let us know how you are doing.
Barb - Two words for you today...BE GOOD!!!
ChinaRose - WTG on the 2 lb. loss. You can do this. Remember the first 2 weeks are the hardest and you are managing well on it. Keep it up. BTW - Welcome to our group.
Sherry - Welcome to the beach. We will be looking forward to your progress. Good luck.
2ndChance - Congrats on the upcoming retirement. I'm wishing on retirement, too, but have about 6 years left... However, if things don't go well, it just might be less.

Like your ideas of a walk to celebrate. I need to do more of that these days.
Me - Well the past 2 weeks haven't been the greatest. DM has a recurrence of breast cancer and we received a call this weekend that we had lost a nephew to diabetes. After I hung up the phone, I was just thinking to myself that these things come in threes and I wonder what the third it... Just then the phone rang and we found out that one of DH's aunts passed away Sunday morning, as well.
Trying to get to funerals across the country this week is putting us in a real quandry. Our nephew lives in Toronto and the aunt lives in Calgary. DH is planning to go to Toronto to the funeral there, and I will go to the aunt's funeral in Calgary. That way, I have more control over getting home if something happens to my mom. I will need to pick up DH's parents (90 and 92), and drive them to the funeral. We will get through, though and hopefully without too much stress.
I was in a panic Sunday morning after we found out the news, trying to get in touch with our daughter. The last thing that I wanted was for her to find out about her cousin at church, or from her boss. Fortunately, they had gone away for the weekend, so there was not concern.
We had an extra day off this weekend, too. Our dog couldn't believe that there were 3 Saturdays in a row to play. This morning she went from couch to couch while we were getting ready for work. She couldn't keep her head up...didn't even want her toast for breakfast. She was glad to be kenneled for the day to catch up on the sleep.
Hope everyone has a great evening. Take care.
