Question
How long can I live off of salads and eggs. LOL
I have no desire for much of anything else. I"ve tried new recipes but when I come to thinking of something for dinner...NOTHING sounds good at all! LOL
So, I was thinking, for breakfast I had eggs/turkey bacon. No am snack. For lunch, I had a small salad consisting of some ham, lettuce and a little cheese with my dressing. Cheese stick for pm snack..and then i'm thinking omelet for dinner? lol or maybe another salad?? How long can I go on like this? Is this ok if it's all I desire??

Amber~I'm sure you can survive on eggs and salads but after a while you might get bored and wander into the land of No-no's. I think you will need to add in more protein : how about grilled chicken breast or a lean steak and veggies.

Something must be in the air; for the first time since I've been on the diet (2.5 weeks now) I'm simply at a loss for dinner. We're supposed to be having chef's salads, but I'm just bleah about that.
I want a pizza.
And no, I don't want 'Pizza bake' or whatever. I want a real, live pizza, delivered to my door, with a pitcher of beer.
*runs off to pout*

I usually add grilled chicken to my salad. I'm not much of a veggie eater. I never have been. All of my veggies are in my salads. I was just wondering if this was a big no-no to keep on like this or if it is ok. As I said before, I have no desire for anything else. WIll I continue to lose??

You should but make sure your salad is with romaine or another lettuce besides iceburg. Iceburg lettuce has no nutritional value. Addin the chicken is a real good idea! I have lived off eggs and salad and lost. I like to make doubled eggs and I also like to make tuna stuffed eggs. (if you like tuna)

Abadoozy,
If you have a Trader Joe's near you . You can make your own whole wheat crust pizza that's not too bad. They have whole wheat pizza dough in the refrigerated section. Add some canadian bacon, lots of veggies and some lowfat cheese and some sort of tomato sauce. It's not bad.
I know, it's not take out. But we are retraining our taste buds so maybe you might like it. I did have a piece of meat lovers pizza with cheese in the crust after I had been in phase 2 for a couple months. I had the worse stomach ache afterwards that it scared me off regular pizza for awhile.
Good luck
Sarah

Pizza is not OK on Phase I so you may have to wait. Have you checked out the Recipe section for Phase I? There are some things in there that may appeal. It's best to get variety in your diet so you meet your nutritional needs and, as the girls said, you can go off track bigtime if you are bored.

Abadoozy:
Just remember, that pizza will taste good for the few minutes you are eating it, but nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!!
Good luck and stay strong!

Oh, sorry about that. She said she had been on the diet for 2 1/2 weeks so I just assumed she had started phase 2. My bad. It's not good to assume
When you do start phase 2, it is an option in moderation of course.
