Taz, it's so hard to lose a loved one... get whatever comfort you can wherever you can find it. My heart goes out to you.

Hubby and I are on our fourth day, and we're both just loving this diet so far. He went grocery shopping with me today because he really wants to be involved and wants to learn how to shop for the right food. He's so cute - he starts telling me stuff like "Did you know that you need to reduce your diet by 3500 calories to lose a pound of fat?!?" I'm like "Um, yeah, I think I learned that at about age 12." Music to my ears, because he's a know-it-all and it's fun to watch him amazed by what I consider common knowledge!

Meanwhile we have a new BABY in the house. A baby pug, that is. Our beloved older dog was accidentally let out of the house and ran right into the busy road in early December, and the younger dog has been lonely ever since. So we got her a little brother yesterday. He's the cutest thing imaginable.

I'm down 3 pounds since Wednesday, and I still can't believe this diet works. I bought the SB Cookbook today, and read through some of the text in the beginning. 1 to 2 glasses of wine a day in phase 2? SIGN ME UP. I may never go back to my previous way of eating. In six months, I'll be right there with Calista Flockheart and Kate Moss, waifish and skinny, because I refuse to get off phase 2....

Dear Taz, my sincere sympathies to you. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and we are here for you 24-7.

WTG, Chipper, on the weight loss!

Jake and I were out shopping earlier today in "Amish" country, and we passed a restaurant that we really enjoy, a Penn-Dutch smorgasbord! We were both starting to get a little hungry, and it was sooooooooo hard to not stop there to eat! I know Jake especially was dissappointed when I said we'd better just go home to eat. It would have been so much easier to eat out, but on Phase 1, I just know I would blow it with all the temptations! Maybe I'll feel better about my decision tomorrow, but right now I feel terribly deprived. That's why I'm here. Hey! I'll make the Bean Cake and have some FF Cool Whip with it. Now that doesn't sound too bad--see ya!

Evening all!

I had to work at my second job today and tomorrow too. I don't need it and it really taxes my system out but I just love all the old people and it is a really nice place to work (don't hear that to often) so I stay. I work about 4x a year and it just so happens that most of the 4x will fall in January of this year. Last time I worked was Feb 04. Stayed OP.

If my weight isn't down next wednesday I may have to cut out the shake I've been doing in the morning. That is the only thing that I do that isn't SBD recommended. I'm feeling less bloated after TOM so maybe I will weigh in good.

By the time I post to everyone - it will be Sunday so let me just say have a great weekend everyone! I won't be around until late tomorrow so as Bami would say - no kickin sand!

Taz - you'll have a special place in our prayers this evening. Many hugs!

Hi again, I made the Bean Cake, and it saved the day for me. I really like the new "revised" version a lot better than the old one. Wow, I was really having a bad moment there!
