Check out the recipe section. Remember you can have limited nuts or peanut butter and also things like roasted chick peas.

Here's what we snack on (Phase I):

- hard boiled eggs.

- Nuts: 15 almonds or cashews, 30 pistachios

- Sugar-free Fudgsicles

- Ricotta & splenda or sugar-free flavored syrups

- Lunch meat. I buy the premium brands - same low fat/low cal as the normal, but taste like you're eating real meat

- Roasted chickpeas

- Fat-free yogurt with splenda or sugar-free flavored syrups

- Smoked salmon (yummmm!)

- a few bites of leftovers from last night's dinner

You could snack on roasted turkey, or cooked veggies. Since we are aiming for permanent lifestyle changes you may want to try to wean yourself from the snacking habit, but in the meantime a good substitute is hot liquids, such as herbal flavored tea or broth. It's always helped me.

I am also a huge snacker! When i'm craving something sweet, I have a sugar free popcicle. And the calories are only about 15 per popcicle. I also like to eat hard boiled eggs sometimes. I have a question for all of you, I love to make deviled eggs. They are simple but I need to know if they are okay. I put the cooked egg yolk, some mayo, and some mustard, and paprika. Then some bacon bits. Are all of those ingredients allowed?

I use this recipe
Simple Deviled Eggs
From http://www.cyber-kitchen.com. Double or triple ingredients as needed for more servings.

2 hard boiled eggs
1 teaspoon mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
Salt to taste
Dash pepper

Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and mash them in a bowl with a fork. Add remaining ingredients to the yolks. When well mixed, stuff a spoonful in each of the egg white halves. Garnish with paprika. If you like more of a zing, use spicy brown mustard

You could use turkey bacon in yours but I doubt if bacon bits are okay.

About exercise - you CAN lose weight even without exercising. I lost 25 pounds with no exercise at because I was recovering from surgery. So the weight loss is a bit slower but it's still possible.

Barb -- that's how I make my egg SALAD -- but I add a tiny bit of onion (although I putt too many in it today)
