Help...Metamucil question :?:
 

Ok, I won't give too many details but I tried taking the sugarfree metamucil yesterday and I took it again this morning and I feel a little nauseous. I took it because I felt pretty bloated and constipated but now I feel even worse.. Can you tell me how long it takes to work and how often do you take it? In the book I think it says prior to every meal... I don't think I could handle that. Thanks for the anticipated advice.

I take it with breakfast and dinner almost every day. With me it often works within the hour. If you are severely constipated you may find that you need a stool softener to correct the problem and then can use the Metamucil to help prevent it from occuring again. I drink it well stirred and with ice cubes so it tastes pretty good but if lumps form from not stirring enough, I don't try to drink them.
