Default Hi I'm New to South Beach

Hi I am starting Phase 1 tomorrow. Any advice? I weigh 220 pounds and would like to weigh 140. I know I have a nice journey ahead of me. I would appreciate any support.

WELCOME MCHAPPY! I started phase 1 last sunday, and all i can tell you is to drink lots of water, and just follow the plan. The ladies here are very supportive and will answer any questions you have. Good luck with your weight loss! WELCOME TO THE BEACH!

Hi,
I recently restarted Phase 1 and just come to the forums and have a chat if you have any questions.. Everyone here is really supportive and you will get some wonderful inspiration from the weight loss successes around here.

Stick to the plan, drink the water and get moving and it will all work out well for you.

Hey welcome to the sand chickie! My advice... STAY IN IT!!!!!!!!!! teehee The best I have to give! No matter what the scale says or how you feel just stay in it casue it works!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there! Welcome to the Beach! If I were to offer any advice, it would be to really make sure you drink your water and get moving. The main thing that has helped me work through temptation is to look at whatever it is (our office folks are always bringing in brownies and things like that) and say to myself (and sometimes out loud), "It really is not worth it." It may be something simple, but it works for me! Good luck! You came to the right place for support!

My advice is to plan your snacks and meals so you always can get to on plan food easily. Exercise is great to do although many people wait until Phase 2 if you haven't been exercising before. Also, be patient. I didn't lose much in Phase 1 (since I'd already lost the water weight) but I've been losing regularly. Welcome!

Posted to you but seemed to have "lost it", darn. Anyways I was saying...our stats are similar. I am at 218 and trying for 145. I started at 273. My advice is plan a menu a week ahead. I do this on Sun, go grocery shopping and try to make a crockpot of something like chili to freeze and eat over the week. I mostly just plan my dinners. So much easier to know what lays ahead and to have something to pull out of freezer just in case you can't make dinner one night. Good luck, you have chosen the best diet out there.
