Hi, everyone...I don't know if you have read the daily recently or heard about my friend Ange (Angela), but she and her little baby-to-be, Ethan, could really use your prayers.
Ange has a rare kidney disorder. Her brother has it too--his kidneys failed last year and he reeived a donor kidney from their mom. Ange's kidneys had not failed and she was actually improving a little on a diet and lots of meds, so her doctor said that she though it would be safe for Ange and her husband, Brian, to try to concieve. Three months later, the doctor reconsidered, but Ange was already pregnant.
She has done fairly well up to now, but things are not going so well. It's a battle to see how long they can safely leave Ethan in utero without risking Ange's health. She is currently in the hospital, and they are hoping that they can wait until Wednesday to deliver Ethan. At that point, he'll only be 26 weeks.
Ange is really scared...and she is one of the kindest and most wonderful people I know. I told her that I wasn't sure whether to focus my prayers on Ethan or her...and she said to definitely focus on Ethan.
She's already a good mom.
If you will, please keep her and Ethan in your prayers. I know they can really use them. Thanks, chicks! I'm heading out to CA today...her baby shower was supposed to be tomorrow, but now, who knows. Still, I really want to be there.
Thanks.
