Here is the traditional "MiSheberach" Jewish prayer for healing (in English) which says it all better than I could myself:
May the One who blessed our ancestors bless our friend Peggy, along with all the ill among us. Grant insight to those who bring healing, courage and faith to those who are sick, love and strength to us and to all who love them. God, let your spirit rest upon all who are ill and comfort them. May they and we soon know a time of complete healing, a healing of the body and a healing of the spirit.

Peggy!
You have been such a rock for all of us, and I hope you know that it's times like this when you need to let us return the favor and be a rock for you! I know you can beat this...and most of the fight is attitude, which I know you have in abundance. You can do this, girl! And know that we will all be praying very hard for you and yours, because it can never hurt!
Beautiful prayers, Leenie and So Cal! :

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and especially for your prayers. It is amazing the peace that God gives through times like these even when the future is uncertain...in our human eyes.
I have taken the weekend to put this thing into perspective and although I know that it will not be an easy journey, it will have a purpose. The most fearful part is not knowing.
I meet with the specialist this week and will have a plan of action in place by the end of the week. I am just thankful that, my own dr. decided to do some precautionary tests (without the usual symptoms) that led to the diagnosis. With such an early diagnosis, the prognosis for beating this is really good and may not require follow up treatment.
Thanks again for all the support. When I have more info, I will let you know. Take care everyone...and remember, make sure that you go for your annual check ups. They are so very imprortant.
