What do YOU do for lunches??

  • new to the boards here as well as to SBD.. just curious what some of you bring for lunch to work (for phase 1) I am so used to sandwiches and other snack items like fruit cups and I am kind of not sure what to bring for lunches.. maybe a spinach and romaine salad?? what would you all do?
  • Lunch is usually leftovers or salads. I also bring tons of veggies, string cheese, etc.

    Salads are great but you must remember to include protein so add meat, eggs, cheese or legumes like chick peas and kidney beans. Remember that you can have dairy and nuts too. Maybe yoghurt with some almonds for a dessert?

    Just make sure you do not get hungry on Phase I and drink lots of water.

  • Today is Monday and I brought the following to work:

    bag of lettuce mix
    bag of spinach
    mozarella sticks
    mozarella slices
    shredded mozarella
    sf/ff jello 6 pack
    large carton of egg beaters
    large bag of whole almonds
    large bag of sliced almonds
    3 tomatos
    4 pack of yogurt
    4 packs of tuna
    a can of Pam

    This is my breakfast, lunch and snacks for the week.

    I also bring in leftovers when I have them, and cottage cheese and berries if I'm on Phase 2 or 3. I also have some olive oil, lemon juice, some wheat bran hot cereal, and a can of lentil soup in the cabinet here at work. Oh, and a box of splenda.

    Crud, I just realized that I'm out of dressing and didn't bring any. Looks like olive oil and lemon juice will have to do.
