Night Owl and new
Hi everyone.
I started SBD in February and lost 20 lbs. until June. Then I slacked off and gained six lbs. I found this site about a week ago and am thrilled with all the positive support. I am trying to get back on track but have a hard time with night eating. (I am a night person and stay up late) Is there anyone else out there who does not retire early? I'd love to chat or post after 9:00--CDT. I live in Wisconsin.
I hope that everyone has a good weekend. This is the official end of summer in Wisconsin, although the weather is warmer now than it has been all summer--80's today.

Hi Essie and welcome to the Beach! I'm usually in bed early but am up around 4 your time. Maybe we can chat then.
It's cold here too. I think WI and this part of Ontario have the same climate. Let's hope we get another hunk of summer.

Welcome to the Beach, Essie!
Sorry... I used to be a night owl, but now I'm a morning person.
But post anytime... we'll answer you!

Hi Essie,
Welcome to this part of the Beach. The great thing about these forums is you can post and read at any time, so even if everybody else posts during the day you could hold off reading them until you feel a 'binge' coming on.
This is a wonderful group. Remember when nay-sayers went around saying the electronic age would depersonalize society? They never anticipated that someone from Wisconsin would be part of a community of Texans, Ontarian, Georgians etc. etc. etc.

Welcome to the beach. Sorry I am not a night owl but if I ever find myself up around that time. I would love to chat.

Sorry, I'm more of a morning person but you might try preparing a bunch of healthy OP snacks ahead of time. Get yourself some veggies and hummus or celery and peanut butter and then you won't do as much damage.

I am pretty much a night owl and after having done SBD for a while the muncies disappeared for me. But I agree just have legal snackies around so that when you munch you are staying on plan and also just check in here at night then you can respond or just read. Oh yeah, Welcome.

Thank you Ruth, Barb, Bunna, little chick, Heidi and ellis for the warm welcome.
Your suggestions about posting while I am up and reading your posts instead of eating are great. It's best if I do not start eating at all because one thing leads to another for me. I'm addicted to carbs, especially sweets, and can put away a lot of them.
I've been looking for a supportive site like this for a long time. I am grateful for all of you and your helpful words. Have a great weekend everyone!

night owl here
Actually I would be a night owl and insomniac combined. Woke up at 0200 this morning and still am awake. Tried going to bed without success so here I sit.
Welcome. Join the boat to the beach. I think you'll find the support you need here. Everyone is great!
