This month, I expect to get back to more walking if this damned knee ever quits screaming at me! Walking to the Market for the newspaper is about a half hour a day. Today I'll try it.

Sept 1 - 30 mins walking for paper (3 Advil )
2 - same but only two Advil (30 mins)
3 - after dinner walk (20 mins)
4 - walked to dim sum and back - 1828 steps for the day
5 - no walk except shopping
6 - half hour walking country road to Philipsville graveyard
7 - an hour giving three guys a village tour - a stroll not a real walk
8 - 30 minute walk
9 - about 45 minutes walking corridors at nursing home
10 - Nada! Poured rain all day
11 - 4970 steps just general walking around - no official walk
12 -

No proper walks for the rest of this month. My knee just hurts too damned much! I may give in and go for physio.

Depending on how long Dad lasts, I'll say between 350 (if he hangs on) and 800 minutes (if he pops off fairly soon).

Sept 1st: 55 minutes (brisk walk)

I think this month I'm going to focus more on exercise then on why I'm not losing any weight.

My goal this month is walk/run 3 times a week, at least 30 minutes each-so about 360 minutes a month

And to do either pilates or some form of weight training 3 days a week about 240 minutes a month.

Now to just do it! I've really got to fight this lazy gene I've developed.

9/1 30 min walk/run
9/3 40 min walk
9/6 20 min walk
9/8 60 min walk/run
9/11 30 min walk/run, 35 min strength training-arms and back
9/13 30 min walk
9/14 30 min walk
9/15 30 min walk
9/16 30 min walk
9/17 30 min walk
9/20 60 min walk
9/21 20 min walk
-----------------------445 minutes so far not bad considering I was on vacation for 10 days.
9/21 20 min walk
9/22 35 min walk
9/26 10 min floor exercises
9/27 40 min walk

I'm in...

I'll probably try to do some exercising tomorrow. I'm thinking my goal will be 30 minutes of walking and maybe 15 of weight-training. I'm going to plan to do it 6 times a week.

I'm in, too. My goal is to do a minimum of 70 minutes each day that I work. That will come to a minimum of 1470 minutes. If I do any at home, it will be a bonus.

1 - 74 minute power walk
2 - 73 minute power walk
3 - 74 minute power walk
4 - 240 minutes - heavy gardening (and hurting big time)
5 - 90 minutes - heavy gardening (still hurting)
6 - nothing, unless house cleaning counts
7 - 73 minute power walk
8 - 73 minute power walk
9 - 73 minute power walk
10 - Haven't done anything...yet. Had a working lunch today, much to my chagrin, but I'm trying to get to the gym before I leave work today. Well, my intentions were good. I did go to the track and managed 43 minutes of my power walk before the batteries went dead. But 43 minutes is better than nothing...
11 - 0 day off
12 - 0 day off
13 - 75 minute power walk
14 - Biggest sacrifice - 75 minute power walk on my birthday. Woohoo!
15 - 75 minute power walk (using a discman and the CD keeps skipping, so adds to the workout time)
16 - 73 minute power walk (first day using an mp3 player - WOW what a difference when the workout doesn't have skips throughout)
17 - 76 minute power walk
18 - 0
19 - 0
20 - 0
21 - 75 minute power walk
22 - 75 minute power walk
- 120 minutes packing and moving boxes (cleaning out the garage so that the new door can be installed tomorrow)
23 - 75 minute power walk
24 - 75 minute power walk
25 - 0
26 - 0
27 - 75 minute power walk
28 - 75 minute power walk
29 - 75 minute power walk
30 - 75 minute power walk
