It's a type of lettuce.

This herb has a delicious hot peanut flavour and really brightens up an ordinary lettuce salad. Great as a bed for seafood too.
Rocket leaves are ideal to add to salads giving them a peppery and slight bittery flavour. It is ideal to add to Italian and tomato dishes and provides a unique flavour to stir-fries.
The older and larger the leaves are, the stronger the flavour will be. :)

I hated to say that I had never heard of rocket so I googled it:

Rocket
Also called arugula or roquette, this salad herb (actually a weed) enjoyed a burst of fame in the 1990s in bistros and posh restaurants and is now widely available in the packet salad sections of most big supermarkets. It has a peppery flavour and is delicious on its own, mixed with other salad leaves, on sandwiches or tossed through hot dishes such as pasta or rice. Also good in soups and sauces, whole or chopped, and as a base for chicken or fish.

I knew it as arugula. We don't call it Rocket in my part of the U.S.

Being a smartass here but that's why gardeners use Latin terms for definite identification of plants. It's Eruca vesicaria ssp. sativa, for heaven's sake!

Oh, arugula. I know what arugula is. Didn't know rocket at all. I also didn't know it's considered an herb.
