Default Really frustrated :-(

Hi guys

This coming Weds will be the end of week 4 for me. I stayed on Phase 1 the entire time so far.

During the first 2 - 2.5 weeks, I lost 8 lbs. I have not lost another single pound for the past 2 weeks. I held off writing here because I thought I would give it time, etc., but this just doesn't seem right!

I am totally sticking to it. I am trying to drink water. I think I am eating enough.

Has anyone else experienced a dry spell for this long??

I'm sorry you are so frustrated Amy. I understand how you feel. I haven't been on it as long as you though. Maybe you just have to give your body time and not rush it, kep with the course. Dr. Agatston talked about a stall a few weeks after phase 1, maybe that is it. Also maybe you should move on to phase 2 so you will have more variety etc. You did awesome, however! Eight pounds in a month is actually great and right on target for healthy and permanent weightloss, think of it that way. You will be more likely to keep it off. Just stick with it, I know it can be hard but you can do it! Good luck

Hi Steph

Thanks for responding. If you have a chance, can you let me know the page number in the book with Dr. A talks about a stall after phase 1? Thanks!

I agree with Steph, keep with the program & your body will adjust. I believe what Dr. A was talking about with the stall after phase 1 is when you actually go from one phase to the other.

Four weeks at phase 1 can be a little too routine & your body may not be getting enough calories. I think it's time to start introducing parts of Phase 2 into your eating.

Even though I haven't gotten out of Phase 1 yet, I just wanted to let you know that I feel for you... I also am amazed at the people who can just continue to stay in Phase 1! I'm only 6 days in and I'm longing for Phase 2 and the variety it will bring. I'm proud of myself for sticking with it for THIS long LOL!! Good luck to you, and to all of us!

Yes Jo was right CatsPlay, Dr. A talked about the stall when switching phases, sorry for the confusion. A little variety might be just what you need to jumpstart your weightloss again. Phase two is perfect for that, I am actually looking forward to it. Good luck and I hope the scale starts to move again for you soon.

Thanks. I bought some whole wheat bread and other phase 2 items today so I will start phase 2 tomorrow.

I also think I might need to stop eating the peanut butter cup recipe every day. Although it is delicious, there is an awful lot of fat in the PB, even the natual PB that is just made from peanuts and salt. Perhaps this will help too.
