just started

hey everyone...I'm a newbie to the SBD...just started well, yesterday actually. I had a question...is the 8-13 you are "supposed" to lose in the first two weeks based on diet and exercise? Or is it just the diet alone? Thanks!

It's just based on diet, but exercise is definitely recommended.
Welcome to the Beach! :hat:

Welcome to The Beach!

The 8-13 pounds is the usual loss for folks who are very overweight. If you have only 10 pounds to lose, it will be slower.

Remember, ever a 20 minute walk a day is great exercise! Welcome to the Beach -- my favorite daily vacation spot!

If you exercise and are very overweight to start with you should expect a higher weight loss. If you have only a few pounds to lose then you may not lose anywhere near this much but will stop craving carbos after two weeks without them.

Just Started Too!

Me Too! I'm new to the SBD as of this very morning.

I did Weight Watchers for years and am so very tired of counting points. So I bought myself a copy of the SBD Book and thought it looked terrificly healthy. I'll be hanging out and am looking forward to a successful outcome.

Welcome to The Beach, Kathrynn. Isn't it great not to have to count points!
Congratulations on your 27 pound loss.
