Monday morning, starting second week of Phase I. I'm so pleased -- down a total of 7 pounds! DH and sister making great strides as well. It was really challenging to stick with it on the road, not to mention the urge to wallow in comfort food after the death of our friend. We did the Wendy's chicken spring salad, the Ruby Tuesday's low-carb menu, and Shoney's. Both of the latter had salad bars, which worked, too. One night we cooked at friends -- steak and sauteed veggies and salad. The only "off" day was the "memorial meal" at an Indian restaurant -- thank God it was Indian! We were able to eat nearly everything, even on Phase I, figuring it to be pretty close. Since we'd packed snacks, and since breakfast was easy at the hotel restaurant, we managed fine. We did notice it added time to the trip (no running through the drive thrus for burgers), and it cost a bit more. But the continued loss was well worth the care!
