Wink Almost New to the Beach

Hi Everyone,

I started SBD in mid November. Kind of nuts since all of the holidays were ahead of me. My problems started a few years ago when I started menopause and gained about 5 pounds a year. The pounds just seemed to appear no matter what I did...ate less, tried to exercise more. Tried several other diets until this one came along. I would love to get back to my girlish figure and my favorite weight of 128 lbs however I realize it is not realistic so now I just want to get back into my size 10 pants When I reached 150 lbs I decided enough was enough I have been really faithful to SBD and have been excited with my results so far...I've lost 10 lbs since November...a major feat for me. Unfortunately my husband has not jumped on the bandwagon with me even though I feel he could stand to lose about 20 lbs as well. It sure makes preparing meals a bit more challenging. He really loves his carbs. Anyway it sure was nice to find this site and to be able to have a support system and find terrific recipes and advice.

We have no idea what grits are. Someone keeps telling me, but I keep forgetting.
Anyhow, I'm very happy for you.

Ground up corn pretty much! Oh but they are soooo gooood! I'm sure they call 'em grits cause they're gritty! Gotta get to the store to read the label.
