Default Newbies post menus?

Hi - I have just read the SBD book and plan to start tomorrow. I thought it might be helpful for new folks to post menus while we are all getting used to the food on this plan. I know I would love some feedback.

Are there any other newbies who would like to post their menus?

We used to always have a food log. Not only is it good for Newbies but it also gives everyone else different menu ideas. Good idea. This is what I had/will be having today

B: coffee, V8, hard boiled egg
S: string cheese
L: seafood salad, diet pepsi
S: Almonds
D: 2 Veggie Sausage & Cauliflower
and water, water, water

How utterly AWFUL of ME!

I NEVER know what I am going to eat until I eat it.

All I know is that it will be OP.

So, when I post, I will have already ATE it.

Tell ya later what I ate.

Hi, all. I am going to try to post at least a few times a week with menus.

Here is what I had so far today:

2 eggs with lowfat cheese

1/2 cup broccoli with turkey meatballs and parm. cheese

2-3 ounces lean salami

Dinner is going to be a bit of beef with more sauteed broc.

the usual day:

egg salad and 2 pieces of canadian bacon

cheese stick (un-threaded slowly)

big salad with shrimp, or turkey, or chicken, jello

pistachios...yes only 30
maybe another cheese stick or celery with laughing cow

cooked veges with some kind of protein, steak, chicken, turkey etc.

a ricotta dessert!

delicious and satisfying

Default I must be eating too much!!

By the sounds of what you guys all eat, I must be eating WAY too much!! A typical day for me goes like this (mind you, this is my sixth day on the SBD and I really like it, however, if I'm doing this all wrong, ya gotta tell me!!)

Okay:
Breakfast: 2-3 eggs (hardboiled or scrambled) with 2 slices canadian bacon or two slices turkey bacon, maybe two slices tomato, too (It's really good on the eggs) and a slice of reduced fat cheese.

Snack: String cheese or jello, or both.

Lunch: Big salad (with good salad dressing - oil and vinegar) with either turkey or cheese rolled up, egg salad (usually two to three eggs) with low-fat mayo or tuna (packed in water)

Snack: Hardboiled egg (Obviously I'm eating alot of eggs)

Dinner: Alot of a vegetable, when I say alot I mean like 1 1/2 cups (is that too much?) with I can't believe it's not butter spray and then some protein, steak, turkey, chicken, whatever

Dessert: Ricotta Mousse (love that!)

Periodically through the day, I may have a teaspoon or two (sometimes even three) of natural low-fat peanut butter.

Compared to what y'all have said, I must be really over eating!! Please tell me if I am!!

Weightlady-

I eat a lot like that to and I am losing weight. As time has marched on I have slowly cut back on my food intake because I really don't need as much and I get fuller faster.

It's best not to gorge yourself but if you are hungry-eat! That's the beauty of this plan.
