Good morning from a sparkly world of sunshine on fresh snow. While the view out the window is quite lovely I cannot believe the swing in weather and temperatures. Friday it was raining and 60*, this morning it is -25* and yesterday afternoon I measured 11 1/2" of snow. The nice neighbor plowed for us but cleaning off my car and doing the path from the garage door to my car door took a good 25 minutes. I chose to count that as my workout for the day.

Other than that I got a variety of chores done inside although I didn't get much cleaning done. Luckily it doesn't go anywhere so it is still waiting for me. lol

Not sure what else is on the agenda today; probably watching the game on TV with DH and maybe I will start a book.

Have a good day chicks!

Good morning,

We are still in deep freeze but not as cold as you all in the Northeast brrr. I can't believe you got almost a foot of snow yesterday yikes. Got house cleaned yesterday and went to grocery store to get a couple of items and that was about it for yesterday. Not sure if we are doing anything during the day but have to run DD2 to a band guard sleep over this evening about 25 minutes away.

Have a great day everyone!

Hello!
Home from work. Busy as tomorrow is a holiday. I head in early again tomorrow.

Beth, can’t believe such a swing in the wether. When I was getting out of me car I observed my neighbor dragging a hose to water his trees. I fear we are going to get hit badly in March/April/May.

Need to think about my dinner.

Good morning chicks. We are off for MLK Day so I get a bonus day.....which I will spend doing errands. I need to go to the grocery store and do one more load of laundry. I did get the vacuuming done yesterday so that's crossed off my list. I also need to do some food prep.

Eating has been okay; since this is supposed to be a WOE for the long haul I have decided to let Saturday by the day I ease up and plan a few splurges. But that means I need to stay OP the rest of the time.

Pearl we are sub-zero this morning but will have a warming trend through the week.

Debbie, hope the holiday brings good tips!

Happy Monday, chicks!

Oh my! Sure is winter once again. Woke to the sound of the plough once again - Richard did us before he did his commercial customers. Bruce and I were grateful as we had to be at Church coffee before 9 since I have a medical appointment at 11 - nothing wrong! Just a foot check to see if my diabetes is doing any damage ... and all is well.

Great weekend although very busy. The play in Ottawa was well done and our author friend was delighted at the large turnout from Delta. 'Twas a long day from noon to almost eight but my wonderful neighbours fed and pottied the doggage. Sunday was Church and then my sister and BIL dropped in on their way home from Kingston to Ottawa and we had coffee and coconut cream pie made by Alma W., the Fair pie contest winner for the past 26 years! One piece left which I may have for lunch later. (Sorry for the food porn. I AM in my 80th year as my dear sister reminded me yesterday! Brat!) Still managed to drop a pound though!

Sounds like everyone is doing OK. Now on we go heading for Spring and the Valentine and Easter challenges.

Off to do a minor grocery shop. Happy Monday and Day off for you all.

The day got away from me yesterday.

Beth I don’t envy you and your snow!!! Glad you are off today. YES shoveling always counts as a work out.
Pearlrose hope dear DD had fun at the sleep over.
Ruth nice of your neighbor to plough your driveway
Debbie I hope. The big tippers are out in full force.

Beth, I totally agree with SB being a WOL. I too will ease up on the weekend. I do up my exercise and water on the weekend in hopes of negating some of my not so great choices LOL. I have been pretty much OP except for 1 meal yesterday and 1 meal on Saturday. I am not being too restrictive this week as next Friday I am having oral surgery. The restrictions are 6 weeks (not happy about that) so that will keep me OP. Not much on the agenda this week. Today will be a gym day as tomorrow I think I will get getting Beth’s shoveling work out LOL.

Have a great OP day!

Good afternoon,

New week new goals. This week I want to get back to exercising, I plan on doing some Piyo (pilates and Yoga) exercises. I am hoping this will help me get more strength in my knees ang help me with my meniscus tear and arthritis. The idea is to be able to be more active and hopefully in a few months be able to be back to my normal exercise routine. Today, I went back to Phase 1 but I think I will be doing PH 1.5 so I can also eat some fruit, will see.

Not much here today, DH flew to OH last night and won't be back until Friday. I took mom to therapy this morning and she is doing good but she needs more therapies for her memory/concentration. Occupational therapist thinks she only would be needing 1 or two more therapies. Her left side still week but she is able to pretty much everything on her own. On Thursday she has Physical therapy and will see how she is doing with that.

Ruth- Hope everything went well at your doctor's appointment.
Beth- Wow, that is a lot of snow. Hope you were able to get everything done.
Ruth- That was so nice of your neighbor to help you clean the driveway.

Good morning!

Isa, great goals for the week!

I’m just enjoying coffee before heading to work . Yesterday was a bust. It snowed and roads were super icy. Don’t know what today will bring. It turned cold for a few days but is supposed to warm up by the weekend.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Just a minute to check in while B. clears yet more snow off the car so we can go to town to shop. The crisper is bare of veggies and I need to negate the effects of my birthday with veggies! Bruce eats everything he wants and doesn't gain an ounce! Not fair! Cooking for us both is tricky but I refuse to eat frozen diet dinners! I am managing to avoid all the chocolate and cookies he snacks on ... so far!

He's ready to roll so we are off to have breakfast en route to town. Happy Tuesday!

Good morning,

WFH for me hopefully for the rest of the week, most of the schools in the area cancelled since with wind chill we are -25. DD2 got an extra day off. Eating is still op but scale has not moved for days, just got to stick to it.

Beth I think we are all under the same weather pattern super cold right now but by the weekend it will be in the 50s again

Ruth glad your neighbor was able to come over for the furries

Jekel this is definitely a WOL so we are allowed to losing restrictions occasionally

Isa good goals to set

Debbie hope the roads aren't as icy today

Have a great day everyone!

Pearlrose we are in the same bizarre weather pattern here too. Glad you are able to WFH.
Isa glad your mom is doing well. Sounds like you have a great plan for the week.
Ruth great job resisting the treats!!
Debbie hope the ice is gone.
Beth nice to have a short work week.

Being good with sticking to my exercise this month. Scale is still staying still just under goal. Just getting ready to ride the bike. These cold temps have made me lose my gym mojo. I do need to keep logging bike miles before May so I don’t feel guilty not going.

Tomorrow’s exercise will be snow shoveling when I get home LOL I can hardly wait!!!!

Have a great night!

Evening, chicks! I've just got a minute to check in, then I need to grab dinner and go to the BOE meeting with my Robotics team. Guess the Board wants to acknowledge the kids' success. Anyway, I was smart and put beef stew in the crock pot this morning so DH can eat whenever he wants.

Sounds like everyone had a busy day. Hope it flew by.

Got to fly; see you all tomorrow.

First and last.

Just a work day today, no meetings afterwards. I WILL take my sneakers and walk before I come home.

Temperatures are moving up through the week which is very nice. Is it bad that we are still in January and I am pining for spring??? Winter should shut down right after the White Christmas!

Food is mostly OP, although I had bread with my stew last night. We have a local organic bakery that makes several whole and multi grain breads; I try not to over-indulge (not easy!) but DH and I pick up a loaf from time to time. So good!

Have a great Wednesday, chicks.
