Today DD2 has a bowling tournament but this morning we will start on the neighbors goodie plates. I made fudge yesterday and we are making sugar cookies today.

My eating has not been op and I need to get back on track. Trying for today, I always start out great just do not end op.

Spent the morning doing my big grocery shopping and am now watching football with DH. My refrigerator is so full I think it might explode. This is one time I hope the weather stays cold so I can leave things out on the back steps! While I was out I managed to pick up the last gift I needed so I am officially declaring my shopping done.

Jennifer, my thoughts are with you. The world seems crazy right now.

Tammy, we have 2 full weeks off from school this year. The secret is having Christmas fall on either Wednesday or Thursday, that's when we get the long vacation.

Pearlrose, I am with you. I can stay OP for breakfast and lunch but somewhere late afternoon it falls apart....Something about wine, snacks and dessert. I am planning on making some of those cheesecakes today to have as dessert.

But first, perhaps a nap. It's vacation, isn't it?

The sun just set on the shortest day of the year. Now let's hope it remembers to get up earlier than 7:37 tomorrow. Spent the day playing in the kitchen making dreadful food porn stuff for gifts. Still have some wrapping but also found a stash of gift bags! Right now, I am going to set up the Bling Tree - may not get it "blinged" tonight but the lights will be a welcome sight in the morning.

Sleep well tonight, Girlfriends. I will be calling on my Inner Child so I can be calm, cool and collected over the next week of business and fun and remember the reason for the Season.

Tammy, I think the movie is appropriate for your kids to watch. Tyler is 7, and I wasn't concerned with him seeing it, although he fell asleep less than midway through it. Make sure you listen to your body and rest when it tells you to, and don't overdo it.

Ruth, I do hope you got your tree up today. I love turning on the tree lights first thing in the morning and enjoying them while I have my first cup of coffee.

Our gnocchi is all made and on trays in the freezer. What takes all afternoon to make will be consumed in less than an hour on Christmas Eve, LOL!

Late check in. Thank you for all your support. Today was quite stressful. This is going to be a rough week. My mom mailed me Buckeyes....they didn't stand a chance lol. At least the raw veggies which preceded them were OP. Oh my tummy is going to be angry tonight lol
