Good morning, Chickies, and it's a beautiful SUNDAY morning here, despite all the confusion. We have another full day to enjoy before the workweek starts.

We had showers all day yesterday but the sun is back from it's brief vacation and looking cheery. This afternoon my SIL invited me over to discuss our upcoming trip to Cape Cod and make plans, and I'm going to use my last zucchini this morning to make a pan of zucchini brownies to take along. I'm hoping my other SIL, who just lost her mother last week, will be up to coming with us. It will be some nice R&R for her.

Cyndi, thanks for reminding me about the soup. I want to make a big pot of tomato and roasted red pepper soup to freeze in meal sized portions, and I had forgotten about it! I'll get that started this morning before I leave.

Good morning

my first thought this morning was - I've got to stop taking that cough syrup, I'm losing my track of time, lol. Ruth is very understandable to forget the day of the week. Dh and I ask each other often is this saturda or Sunday

I've had a bad cold all week and just sat around with the blahs. Yesterday was the first time I stepped out for awhile. Watching that volcano pretty closely, hope she blows soon
have a nice Sunday everyone
take care
Sophie

Good SUNDAY morning to all the chicks! (Please Ruth, let's only skip weekdays)

The BBQ was fun yesterday even though it clouded up and sprinkled for a few minutes and the food was not OP.

Today looks to be sunshine for real!! I need to go out and see what needs picking in the garden: the salsa I didn't make the other day may be on my to do list.

Have a great day, everyone.

Who has a tomato soup recipe for me? I just picked a ton and I thought I might make and freeze some soup (in small containers of course, since DH is NOT a fan!!)

Beth, I didn't follow a recipe, just made it up in my head as I went along, but this recipe is very similar to how I made mine. I love red peppers and have tons of them, so of course I had to roast some and add them to my soup.

Oh, and I added a 12oz. log of goat cheese into it, too.

Enjoy!

Good afternoon,

It's so hot here they canceled DD2 soccer game today 111 degrees with Heat Index- 100 without. I think this heat wave is supposed to break on Wednesday can't wait because I don't want to go outside for anything.

We did go out for brunch and did a movie and then some shopping since it is all air conditioned activities.

Glad I wasn't in earlier to get confused on the days lol. I think I am going to do a Phase 1 starting tomorrow to get my head back in the game.

Have a wonderful evening.

DID YOU MISS MEEEEE?! Lol...I was only gone 2 days.

Pearl - I'm with you. I'm currently making some phase 1 meals so I stick to it.

Must look back at other threads!

I DID miss you, Tammy! How was the wedding? Are you looking forward to a week to yourself? I sure know I would!
