Angry Hooking hubby up to SBD....how?

I'm going to start SBD on Monday and need to get my DH on as well. It seems about the most logical for him except HE DOESN'T EAT VEGGIES!! OR FRUIT!!! He's told me he would SBD with me but how do people do when they don't do veggies on Phase I or any of it for that matter? The only thing I can get him to even attempt is green beans with lots of garlic and a little olive oil. Got any ideas?
Thanks!
Janie

You know...maybe he isn't ready to do the SBD thing. I mean to say that dieting is something one has to do for themselves and you can't do it for him.

Many years ago, DH and I did WW or I should say I did it for both of us. I planned, I prepared and we both ate. It was great for him, but stressful for me. This time around, if he wants to SBD, I made it clear that he has to read the book and understand his limits. I'm not his mother!

Your DH isn't ready for any lifestyle changes if he isn't going to eat veggies. I'd advise you to do it yourself and maybe he'll want to join.

Hi Janie, I have the same problem with my LTBF Ben, but he's agreed to give it a whirl and see if he can't learn to like new things. We've figured out some tricks, like removing the seeds from cukes and tomatoes, and some compromises, like letting him sub nuts for things he really hates, like cottage cheese and tomatoes. Probably the best thing we did was agree to follow the menus exactly for the first two weeks, because there are things that we both don't usually eat. Basically, he'll eat his tuna if I drink my nasty morning veggi juice. Maybe your DH would be able to grin and bear it if he made a list of health benefits?
