Default SBD & Medication

Hi folks,

I am having a brain fart coming up with ideas and was hoping you all could suggest something.

I haven't taken one of my stomach medications since starting (well, restarting) Ph1 three days ago. It is a powder that has to be taken with juice - either orange or cranberry. Something about the way the medication reacts with the juice and not the water that helps adhere to my stomach lining.

Anyway, not wanting to have that 4oz of juice twice a day, can you all think of any subs? I've tried plain water before but the results weren't the same...and not to mention the taste was awful!

Thanks!
Jenn

How would it be in a smoothie with cranberries?

Not so hot...it's a thick powder that clumps. Plus, being on Ph1, cranberries are a no-no.

Went out to look for the Orange Crystal Light but it's as if they don't make it any more? Maybe another flavor?

How about diluting the juice? It seems if the juice is helping the absorption that crystal light and other substitutes would not aid that absorption. Perhaps it will just have to be a small modification you have to make to your P1 in order to get your medication taken-which is important.

Those are both acidic, what about lemon water? (lemonade/etc)

Could you do a green juice? Veggies, with a little lemon juice for flavor?

Jenne, use the juice. Getting your health back is more important than being a martyr to Phase I!

no need Ruth! Although you might enjoy it Always happy to have guests!

I think I will just try taking it with a nsa juice or fresh squeezed instead. I will try a "zero" drink as well before all of that. Thanks for the advice all!!!
