Default Giving it another try - wish me luck.

Well, I started at 170, possibly more and got down to 140. That was last year. That made me happy and happy eventually made me careless. I'm gaining and not eating as well and way too sedentary. I went from nearly a size 14 to a size 8. Now the 8s are tight and I'm having to admit to moving up to a 10.

NOT HAPPENING

Tomorrow morning is day one of my next attempt. Goal is 125. It's summer - nearly. Better weather for getting out and doing. Better food - lots of fresh vegies.

Being on the forum helped last time, so I'm back.

Wish me luck.

Welcome Samantha, great job catching yourself. You should be proud of yourself. This is a lifestyle not a temporary fix. Looking forward to seeing you on the boards

Good for you - getting back on track before you gain it all back. Wish I'd put on the brakes sooner a time or two or ten.

Same here! Day one today for me (5/20/13). I haven't done the beach for nearly ten years but it was incredibly successful in changing the way I ate (as well as opening me up to new foods). I'm a little nervous getting back into this (being 33 instead of 23) but I am hoping this will lead to me making healthier decisions.

I started again this morning as well. I had done a grain free diet a couple of years ago and was down to about 215 and here I am back at 269. I just couldn't handle being completely grain or gluten free. I am starting with just the regular SB but am reading the gluten solution too. Phase 1 is pretty much the same except you really watch gluten in product. I have a sensitivity but not celiac.
I also had a gastric bypass 12 years ago. Obviously not a magic solution. I did weigh 400 then but I can see that 12 years later I could creep back up if I keep eating the way I do. I am a sugar addict and a diet soda addict. I know we can have diet soda on SB some but I am cutting myself off except when out to dinner, which isn't often.
Let's get this thing done this time ladies!!!

Good luck, twin! I am crossing my fingers that I can stick to this. I know that I have a bit of a carb addiction (it's comfort food) but I really think getting my system rebooted will do wonders. I just feel terrible, very sluggish. So any change (even going through phase 1) is better than what I was feeling regularly.

I just jumped back after a year off (i regained 25 lbs). I forgot how powerful phase one is. Before i was grazing, like munching alllll day. Cravings were intense. After 11 days, The difference is astounding! i'm having to watch the clock to make sure I eat my meals. And I'm down 10.4 lbs!
