Even on Phase 1, if I remember correctly, you don't count carbs because beans are allowed in phase 1 (not all beans) and those have a high amount of carbs. Even peas and lentils are allowed which have a higher carb count.
In fact, on SBD I don't think you even need to count calories, but you can if you want. I personally track my calories and carbs because I use myfitnesspal, but it's not a requirement. As long as you are eating till you are satisfied when hungry then you shuld be fine.
As for your question, as long as you are personally feeling okay, I wouldn't increase carb intake.
