How funny - I just saw these for the first time at Whole Foods so I bought them. I got the "dill" flavored ones (the word "dill" is very hard to read on the package and I would not have chosen this flavor if I had seen that). They are seriously weird but I like them!
The ingredients for the dill flavor are just flax seeds (whole), vinegar, liquid aminos and some herbs (dill and red pepper). I considered this fine as whole flax seeds are essentially undigestible ... but then I question whether or not to bother, as you would be missing out on all the benefits of flax seed...
I am looking at recipes to make these in a dehydrator. There is discussion in the raw food boards that soaking flax seed makes them more digestible. Though this is getting away from the OP's question...
3 TBS/1 oz of flax seeds are allowed in Phase 1 (as the one nut/seed serving per day), which is approximately the serving size of Flackers (25 g) = 6. As long as they are the simple ones. I didn't see any at Whole Foods with additions such as fruit, but as Jenn said, that would be for Phase 2.
