Smile NSV - Measuring tape for the Win

I posted just over a week ago that I was stuck at a plateau, and getting frustrated. Well - I managed to break through and lose 2 pounds for the entire month of June.....BUT.....
I broke out the measuring tape: 4.5 inches off my waist and 2 inches off each thigh! So, maybe my 10 lb net loss (from SB) actually DOES include more fat loss plus some muscle gain from running. OOOh - and maybe a little bone building from the impact? At my age, that would be a plus! Anyway, I just wanted to put this in writing to help keep me going! Thanks for listening!

Great news! I have found the same thing....there are so many more gauges of progress than just the scale!

At work, my younger coworkers admire my energy. Another bonus! I feel better than I ever did, even at a lower weight.

Keep up the great work!

Emma - I know! That's crazy, right? I think I was probably facing a health crisis. I always had an hourglass figure - sometimes thinner, sometimes fuller, but there was always a waist. Somewhere around 50 it decided to go on sabbatical. I'm not sure if it's the lack of starchy carbs, or the fact that I've chosen to stay away from wheat, but something in this diet worked, and my waist is showing real signs of coming back!!!
