Default Beach Chat - Monday, June 4

Good morning from Drizzly Delta. I think the poor campers in the park must have webbed feet by now. The forecast is for more of the cool and wet until Wednesday but that's June. She's sneaky!

Off to the gym and then to my quilting group. There's some political stuff going on between national office and the branches so there are a lot of knotted knickers. At least it gives the biddies something to talk about aside from the usual small town gossip. This will be our last official meeting until September and I am looking forward to the break. I have a couple of good friends in the group but there are a few I won't miss for three months.

If it's not raining this afternoon, I should get the planting finished in the Village. I sure haven't had to worry about watering! If the weather doesn't cooperate, it'll be more accounting. I need to get stuff ready for audit and prep for the Mill Annual Meeting next week.

What's happening with you as we crank up this first fullw eek in June?

Aw, it's so wet here too. I know it's supposed to rain the next couple days, I didn't look at when today. Maybe I'll get out a little bit?!

I took off work today - DH has his lucky "I'm turning 50 and it's a good test to do" today - so I'm his escort. He's never been sedated before (lucky him!) so he's freaking out a bit. Heck, that's the good part!! They wouldn't tell us what time until friday - and it's first thing - so now I have most of the day off (which stinks, b/c I still don't have much vacation time from dad). I'll take him out to breakfast, get some errands done, and maybe work on our garden. He gets a nice dinner today too, but it'll be nice and beachy .

Mmmm....coffee. (I won't flaunt it to DH though...)

Good morning I have 2 weeks of lawn growth and serious water in my yard. I'm thinking duck pond is the best solution. My garden isn't going in for at least another week with this weather. Will be interesting to see how that goes I've heard really experienced gardeners say it doesn't matter when you plant as much as we think it does. The season is what the season is. Guess I'll test that this year.

It was supposed to be my day off but I'm picking a friend up from tests at the hospital this morning then heading to work for 3 hours. Tomorrow I am definitely not working. Need to head to the DMV upstate to get my enhanced driver's license in case I want to go to Canada. My license expires at the end of the week anyway so must get it done and can only be done at 4 offices around the state.

Time to get moving. I'm still enjoying my portabello cap "hollandaise" eggs for breakfast.

Right now it's dry, but they're calling for showers off and on all day. It's going to be a busy day, starting off with taking the girls for their physicals for summer camp, then grabbing some lunch before getting back to school in time for Field Day, if it's not canceled. I signed up to help coach the teams this afternoon, and it's always a lot of fun. After school the girls have riding lessons, and I can come to plant the flat of ageratums in the front flower bed border.

Good morning. Hope everyone's hospital tests go well today. Soggy day in the Empire State too. Once son goes to school, hopefully without a shouting match, I'm off to Home Depot then Columbia County. Taking care of my friend's chickens, turkeys, dog and house while he and his DD are Bear hunting in Maine! Acutally they are staying in Maine and hunting in Canada. Ladt year it was alligator hunting with his son and now this. Because of their love of hunting I've eaten (and dare I say enjoy) venison, wild turkey, wild boar and alligator. I always worry when they go, but I am confident in his abilities....but still I worry!!!

New breakfast today, sunny side up eggs and Morningstar meatless sausage. Up a pound, but Tom is on the way for a visit, oh joy!

Time to break out the bull horn and get this kid out of bed. Enjoy your day.

Good morning. Sneaking in a quick read before Monday AM Conf call - it's the first week of the new fiscal year, so everyone is back from vacation and will be wanted to "get back to work!" Since I'm in a support/individual contributor role, that means everyone will be trying to pack my schedule. Eeeek. Going to DD's voice lesson today to sing with her - we're doing a duet at Church this Sunday and her teacher wants to hear it, tweak it, etc. I'm a bit nervous, I must say. Have a good productive day, all!

Good morning,

Good luck with everyone's tests today. Sounds like it is rainy in the Eastern parts it will be just a bit of drizzle here and that is it.

DD2 finished her medication so hopefully the rash will go away soon.

Have a great day everyone!!

It is a lovely cool day in SE Ohio. No rain here. I had a great time with my family at my nephews graduation. My food was not so great. However now that I am back home I am "officially" on Phase 1. I weighed myself this morning and I had a maintain last week. Time to get serious . I need to get my weight lifting in today.

See you on the Beach!
