Tea, coffee, Crystal Lite, SF drinks - no wine or other alcohol until Phase II. Lots of us drink plain water with a twist of lemon or lime.

And the only dumb question is the unasked one!

The book will help but I'm sure the chicks will pop in with more advice.

Don't forget dairy - not cheese which is a protein but FF milk and ff yogurt. I'm not fond of milk but sometimes drink it half and half with diet cola or SF gingerale. Think coke float! Remember to add the soft drink to the milk because it curdles otherwise.

I really enjoy making a smoothie. I use ff Greek yogurt, skim milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, a little peanut butter, protein powder (no sugar or aspertane) a teaspoon of pysillium husk (fiber) and pack of stevia and ice. Reminds me of a milkshake without the guilt. I have this in place of breakfast somedays or a special treat. Even my son likes them!
