Default Hey Peeps!
Hey Everyone,

I don't get to check in as much as I would like, but just wanted to give a family update!

7 week totals:

Brad (DH): is down 19 lbs. and a pants size!
Me: I am down 16 lbs. and a pants size and TWO dress sizes!
Brailey (my 11 year old, on a modified program) has lost 7 lbs. and a pants size!

We are absolutely loving South Beach. DH is only 10 lbs. away from his goal weight and DS is only 3 lbs. away... I still have so far to go!
I keep telling myself that it will be fine because they will keep most of the same eating style and dinners don't have to change at all!

All in all, this is a wonderful program for us that we have been able to handle for the long haul... (yes, 7 weeks is a long haul for our group! )

I use my SB cookbook all the time. -- I am not following SB, strictly, but I tend to find SB lifestyle easy, naturally.

Yay! What great support you are for each other.

I'm only on Day 3 and have already lost 4 lbs. Loving the instant gratification of Phase 1!

I'm also on the 7th week and down a pant size! I'm so motivated and not starving or craving.

This is what I love about South Beach. The first two weeks are the most difficult, but you sort of detox from the sugars and so much grain, and then ease back into eating real, healthy food. It is about new life-style and a new way of approaching food.

Congrats to you and your family - what a great thing to be doing together!

That's so awesome that your whole family is doing this together. Congratulations on your success, especially your 11yo. I have a 13 year old and a 12 year old niece and for kids that age, following a healthy eating plan is so hard. Especially when there are kids around them drinking Cokes and eating Cheez Whiz and Airheads all day. Kudos to him!!

I also follow SBD principles but I am not as strict with it as I am too 'liberal' to adhere to strict rules xp However, I am still losing weight! Good luck and never give up!

That is awesome I'm on Day 3 of Phase 1 and have already lost 2kg (about 4lb). When you hear others are doing so awesomely it's such great motivation!! Congratulations

Congrats.
I don't post too often either, but I remember when you started (around the same time as me) and I'm glad we are both still on the Beach!
It is always encouraging to see people just being faithful.
I'm so glad that your whole family has found success. Keep up the great work!
