Default Greetings! Getting started and Intro...

Hello everyone!

I have been lurking over the past few weeks and I have read every sticky in the getting started section. The resources on this site are incredible! As I get started, I just wanted to introduce myself and get some feedback from the veterans on my meal plan for the first week.

I have not tried the SBD before and I have been wavering for the past few weeks on either starting SBD or IP. Personally, I don't feel like the Ideal Protein diet is a sustainable option for me, so I have opted to try the Beach.

I have posted my meal plan below and I guess the only concern that I have is on add-ins. For instance, the sour cream and half and half in the coffee. From what I have read, as long as you adhere to the serving guidelines listed for each category, it shouldn't be an issue.

So, I guess my question is, does anyone see any glaring errors or issues of concern?

I have attached my first week's plan as a screenshot. I hope it's okay for me to start posting in the daily section from here on out

Thanks in advance!

I'm impressed with your cool chart but it was a bit small for me to read. Please do join in on the daily thread

to The Beach, Katie! It's great that you've done your research and thoroughly checked out this plan before getting started.

Looking over your menu, it looks nice and balanced. The only things I notice that may give you problems is the cream in your coffee, and are you drinking whole milk or skim? If you don't have any problems with them and are losing weight at a satisfactory pace, then go on enjoying them. Otherwise, I would switch to FF or 1% dairy products. You may want to add more legumes to your menu, too, for the added fiber and to help keep you feeling satisfied.

Good luck, and we hope to see you around!

Hi, my name is Angie and I'm on day 8. I lost 10 lbs my first week but man was it rough. I'm happy to say I feel so much better now. Please forgive me if I make any forum faux pas...I've never utilized a site like this before. I look forward to all the information you guys have to offer. I'm afraid my "coach" feels more like a sales person..she doesn't have too much to say in regards to teaching about the diet. Luckily this site it here for that!! Thanks!!
