SBD Weekend Chat - January 14 & 15

It's supposed to be another warm day here, then back to cold. So I'm going to take advantage and head out on an errand that will have me outside for a while. And I found some new yummy sounding teas that I want to buy but will probably end up just ordering those online. I got distracted yesterday so didn't get my soup into the crock pot in time for dinner so we'll have it today instead. I was working on getting hotel reservations for my son's college graduation in May. Boy do things book up fast! But lots of phone calls and internet searches later, I found something and got a great discount because of the school. Phew. I think I'll be started a heck of a lot earlier when my youngest graduates!

Good Morning

I continue to work on the re-covering of the chair....DH is coming back in with sandpaper for the floor. I have to drive mom to Denver today and hang out while she goes to a concert. I'll drop DH at a CD store and have time to myself.

Ruth, glad you enjoyed your day. This evening sure sounds fun.

Cyndi, brrr...a good day to stay home from all aspects.

Linda, it sure sounds a bit hectic. I'm sure you'll all have a routine together before too long..

Chelby, stand firm with your appliances. You are the one who will use them....for years. Find a tool/tools that Jeff finds indespensible and compare...it works.

Karen, glad you finally found a hotel, it takes me several days before I will book a hotel as I have to do much research to find the best deal. For my CA trip the first weekend we are going to take DD2 to Disneyland so I had to find a hotel for 3 nights before we go to Palm Springs for my work conference on Monday evening.

Debbie- good luck with your recovering project.

We decided to stay home today so I am doing laundry and may mend a couple of things that have been waiting and do some chores around the house. DD2 wanted to have a tea party but her friends have plans already so we are planning for her to have one next Saturday.

Yippee! The nursing home we were to visit for the dog test this afternoon is closed due to illness - unfortunate for them but good for me as I canceled the test and can spend this cold but sunny afternoon in my quilting studio, sipping tea and enjoying the day.
