Newbie - again!

  • Hello everyone! I am a repeat South Beacher. Of all the diets I've tried over the many years I have been dieting, South Beach was most memorable to me. I didn't stay on it the first time very long - only 2 months before giving up - but it's impact stayed with me awhile. I am an extremely fast gainer and after losing 20 lbs. with SBD the first time, I went back to my horrendous eating habits and didn't gain anything for over a year. I'm assuming SBD fixed whatever was broke and managed to keep my body working well for awhile. I am now about 100 lbs overweight and in bad shape. One of my doctors suggested Sugar Busters and another suggested Weight Watchers, but I decided to give this a go again. I'm happy to see an active forum as I will need as much encouragement as I can get!

Some info on me: I'm 33 years old, married with a 10-year-old daughter. I'm hoping to have another baby soon - another reason to get on the ball with my health. I work from home, so I sit on my butt most of every day, so I really need to make myself become more active. Any tips to help me in this would be appreciated! I can be SOOO lazy!

    Nice to meet you all!
  • Hi and May I assume your S/C/G weights are metric?

Yes, South Beach does work but we must adopt it as a permanent lifestyle if we are to be healthy. Good for you in coming back and tackling this problem now!
  • BACK to The Beach, cam!
