Can I have milk in phase one? I keep coming across recipes that include milk in phase 1 but I was under the impression that milk was not allowed in this phase.
Also, what about the fat content of cheese. Is it okay if it's full fat or does it have to be reduced fat? I don't understand why it would have to be reduced fat if South Beach is not about eating low fat
I'm sure I'd find the answers to these questions in the book but I still haven't been able to buy it

As to cheese, reduced fat is what we should be using as it's lower cholesterol. Some chicks use regular cheese but cut the quantity. Cheese is pretty calorie dense.
I eat regular cheese and it has NOT reduced my weight loss. I eat a lot of cheese... nearly EVERY meal and I still lost 8 lbs in the first week of the SBD

Thanks for telling me that right now. I'm about to eat a cauliflower pizza with regular cheese because that's all that is in the house and my husband took the car to work; I was feeling EXTREMELY guilty about it, even though all I had today was a salad and almonds because I woke up later that usual.
