Good morning! I'm up early, too. Just because I go to bed early! LOL! I like the quiet mornings before everyone gets up and it's hectic. Matilda it sounds like you have a busy morning. Ruth, you always have critters around! I'd like to see the dogs chase the cattle, too! LOL!!! Twynn, I have that roaster (18 quart). It's huge. What do you use yours for? I almost never use mine. When my oven was broken I did a turkey in it. Cottagae, I hope you have a fun time with your family....hope your mom is okay.

As for me, we are camping tomorrow thru Friday so today is prep day. Camping stuff ready, food prepped and ready, etc.... My husband does most of it I just assist. It all seems overwhelming to me and I don't really love camping (only parts of it I like) but I go because my family likes it so I "let" my husband plan and prep and I help. LOL!!! He's prepping all of my food too. I've been cooking for a week to have leftovers to take for me. Remind me to put the crock pot roast recipe I have on here...it so delicious and tender. Mmmmm....have lots of that to take too. So, I'm going to enjoy my coffee and then get to work! Have a lovely day, all!!!

Good morning DW has been sleeping in mornings and today the cats decided to let her be so we are just getting going around here. The grinding noise is the one down side to fresh ground coffee. I was ready for a cup at 6 but waited as patiently as I could manage.

Today is more cleaning, some garden work and exercise! I'm really missing my walks and bike rides with all the rain. On the plus side I'm finally getting my weights out every other night and up to 8lbs.

I told my "boss" (I like K and it's hard to think of her as a real boss) that I won't be going back to 5 days when the campaign ramps back up in the fall. The intense pace is just more than I want in my life right now. She was great about it, didn't try to talk me out of it (even though she said it was her job. that's the friend part). I'm looking around for other jobs and we will talk more about a contract that keeps me connected to the campaign as needed. I've got some skills, knowledge and connections that no one else there has and we want to figure out how to make that work. It's been a long time coming and a little scary not having anything lined up yet, but it's what I need to do for myself. They also have a new position opening up that I could step into if nothing else comes up. Thing is I know enough about organizing now to know that it will end up being crazy demands and hours at some point. I'm glad to have it out in the open.

Matilda - that's how I cook mine. I thought maybe you had some new and exotic recipe

Time to get a To DO list for the day. I know the last thing on the list will be - grill dinner, sit on porch with wine but I have to fill in the part in-between!

Good Morning

It looks like traveling is on hold for the moment but I'm making progress on the "must do" list just in case. After coffee, I headed into the yard with coffee and got DH to help dig out a volunteer mulberry which was blocking my recycle shed.
I got detoured yesterday. I was enjoying my bike ride all through town and stopped to talk to a salon about my hair-they were offering a free cut with a color. Well 3 hours later I was on my way with a new hairdo. I'd had a botched color job in early March and this really funny guy was willing to do the makeover for a super duper reduced price since they had no business. It did totally goof up my schedule for getting things accomplished. Oh well.
Today is church then hopefully some relaxation during the heat of the day. Don't know what I'll do with that time.

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear that your mom is not doing so well right now. Sending hugs to all and hopes that you can cheer her up!

Ruth, I'm trying to imagine your pups hearding cattle...

Cyndi, good for you letting the boss know now that you aren't going back to 5 days.

Kristen, camping would be more fun if someone else did all the work. Congrats on your ticker moving down.

Twynn, congrats on your house contract and your new appliance!

Matilda, have fun at Costco!

Karen, is your ergonomic chair ofsetting butt soreness?

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Good morning everyone,

The scale was finally nice to me, lost the 2 lbs from the trip plus 1 more this week. I am hoping that I finally figured out how to space my eating so the scale will move for me. Yesterday was hectic day with swim meet for DD2 that went from 9:30 a.m. til 1:30 p.m. and then DH wanted to go to 6 Flags for a concert in the evening, so I decided to be nice and go but in the meantime did not get any cleaning done around the house. So today after church cleaning the house is top priority and then will be taking DD2 to see Cars in the afternoon.

Linda, sorry to hear that your mom is not feeling well.

Ruth, glad you got some good sleep last night

Cyndi, that is great that you let your boss know, this gives you time to do some searching.

Kristen, congratulations on the movement of the scale. Have fun camping.

Twynn, congratulations on the house contract. My DS was determined gifted but at our schools they just had one class they took different from the rest and it only went until Jr High not High School.

Debbie- I can't keep up with your traveling schedule but you are a great daughter

Matilda, have a relaxing day.

Karen, you may just have to get used to the chair for awhile

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone

Sophie
