Good Morning

Have a great Sunday everyone! Ruth, I hope Glenn is able to get to your grill, that is assuming they do make it.

We're taking Kirk to brunch this morning. Then coming home to figure out the next step in our complicated life. Somehow or other we're traveling tomorrow...just don't quite have the details yet.

Good morning It's all lawn mowing and yard work around here today. Yesterday we took the afternoon off to go see the baby herons at the rookery. Every nest had babies! DW got some good pictures but came back with a raging headache so today will definitely be an at home day. I'm going to get my poor, neglected bike out this afternoon and head out for a ride. The weather has not been bike friendly around here this year.

Matilda - Hope the antibiotics kick it out fast and this is the last episode.

Ruth - I have a girl grill I'm grilling here too. I love this time of year.

Debbie - I don't know how you do it all and with such a positive attitude most of the time. Hope there's a little time for you in your busy day.

Now to make breakfast and wait until a decent time to start the mower. I don't know why everyone doesn't get up as early as I do

Good morning.

It's going to be a grilling and pool day here today, too. Carley spent the night with us, and Monica & Eric will drive out after church, along with Dustin, Andrea and the rest of the grandkids. The guys are grilling up steaks, but I don't have a plan for what I'm having yet. Probably a grilled veggie medley of some kind. Jake bought me a nifty grilling basket for the BBQ, and I'm eager to use it.

Well, I'd better get this show on the road. I want to go visit Dad before my brother takes them out for the day.

VERY quick check in here before I run off to the early service at church - I'll be back later.

Good morning,

I should be getting ready for church but I am procrastinating so here I am. We celebrated Dad's day yesterday with DH. Did what he wanted during the day and then he went to the Cardinals game with some friends. I took DD2 to the June Jamboree in the next town for the parade and then some rides afterwards. It was a nice day. Did get some laundry done but still have more to do.

Today, have to go into work after church for a few hours for second maintenance window for the month. Good news is since I swapped July for June, I don't have to do the maintenance windows again until October.

Still haven't lost my two lbs but that is probably due to Tom's imminent arrival in a couple of days. We shall see at the end of this week. My goal this week is to check in to this thread daily, it helps to keep me accountable.

Sounds like everyone is back in the swing of summer activities...love hearing what everyone does.

We had quite the boomerang storm in the wee hours woke me up that's for sure. I don't quite remember June being such a rainy month.

Enjoy your Sunday and any Father Day activities you may have planned.

Just to explain: I certainly know how to operate my big BBQ except Glenn put on the propane tank last time and really tightened it and I can't get it off to install the newly filled one. Just got a call that the Pypers won't be up today so I may have to get with it and use a wrench or something macho.

Actually I think I'll go play with my new electric weed whip and then do some gardening. It's an absolutely glorious day. Both dogs are lying on the deck in the sun and look very comfortable. Maybe I'll go do the weed whipping after a coffee - maybe after lunch - maybe after a nap .....
