Hi everyone I'm back but just too busy to get on here and read posts. I will try to come back and catch up on what I've missed while I was gone. I did just find out I aced my exam for my course so I was very excited to see that.

Alrighty, finally got a few minutes to come back to this thread!

Debbie - sometimes my DFiancee gets a "sprained ankle" when there's work to be done. You may want to see if a dose of guilt tripping magically heals him. Just kidding!!!! BTW, I am so inspired by your bike rides. I envision sunshine, birds chirping, a light breeze wicking away sweat... I'll have to get out my bike and go around the block one of these days. My bank is about 1 mile away, so I used bike there when I had checks to deposit. Basically work for my money, twice! I should start doing that again.

shelflife - Welcome back from your trip and good luck packing! You're life must be super busy and stressful right now - yet you're doing so great with your Phase 1! Awesome!

Heidi58 - Hooray for summer break! Good luck with packing up everything. Remember that the sharpie is your best friend - will save you lots of headache after summer.

Matilda - Congrats on the overnight waterweight loss! Waterweight is still weight, IMO. Just because you know where it came from doesn't mean it's less exciting! Keep us posted on how you cope without your sitter in terms of meal planning, shopping, etc - the little time saving and planning tricks really add up to more efficient days!

CyndiM - I'm sad & frustrated on your behalf to hear of your insomnia. A poor nights' rest REALLY throws me off for the day, and makes everything so much harder than it needs to be. Hoping you get plenty of rest and relaxation today, and good sleep tonight.

Ruthxxx - Good luck with presenting your report and for dealing with that bitter woman. Always nice to have people like that in your life, though; even if you get stressed out about something, at least you don't have an outlook like hers!!!

cottagebythesea - YES for willpower and planning! You are so inspiring!

TwynnB - Awesome that you had a stressful day and didn't turn to food - really, that says so much about where your mind and mind-body-connection is at.

sophie - Hoping you heal up quickly, and congrats to your son!!!

WaistingTime - I hear you on the berries! So delicious. And with all those antioxidants, you can easily talk yourself into some inappropriate portions... (I can, at least! Ha!)

Pearlrose - Congrats on acing your exam! Awesome!

Well, I had a realization today that dieting is a lot like trick-training dogs or horses. A series of small desired behaviors that add up to something really cool like "taking a bow" or "grab that cowboy hat". Starting with a small step, but then constantly adding to it - building on that platform until you get where you want to go. I'm proud that I taught my dog to take a bow, and I'll be proud of teaching myself all the tricks of healthy living and ultimately living the lifestyle and enjoying all the benefits of weight loss and having a body I'm happy about.

Also, dieting is like sports psychology. Overcoming negative talk, learning to cope with stress in constructive ways, building an arsenal of mental tricks to use when bad stuff happens (positive imagery, achievement memories, motivation songs or quotes). I'm realizing these different parts of my life are all connected and can help assist me in dealing with the others. Interesting.

Woohoo! I sailed right through the day completely on-plan, and it wasn't even hard! For those of you who don't know, ice cream is my biggest nemesis. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I could blissfully live on just ice cream. So this is a big NSV for me for today.

Sophie, a big CONGRATULATIONS to your son for being selected out of the few that are picked! You must be so proud!
