Default Someone Please Tell Me Why Instant Oatmeal Is Out But Regular Oatmeal Is In?

Ok so I plan to move into phase 1.5 in the next few weeks. I have been doing Phase 1 with a few interruptions for about a month so far and am looking forward to adding small amounts of grains and fruit but can not figure out why on Phase 2 you can have oatmeal but not instant????? I am assuming that they mean it has to be plain no added stuff oatmeal so I again am assuming that plain instant oatmeal would be ok but didn't know if there was actually another reason that I am unaware of. Any ideas?

Instant is more processed and has a higher glycemic load so hits your blood sugar harder. Whole oats have more fiber, take longer to digest and don't cause blood sugar spikes.
Maintaining 57 lb loss since 2008, working off regain to a sensible maintenance level.
