Good evening, ladies. I apparently needed to catch up on my beauty sleep today b/c I went to bed around 0830 hrs this morning and just woke up an hour ago (1630 hrs my time...ummm, 4:30 PM, LOL)!!! It's hotter than blue blazes outside (temps expected to reach 105 degrees in the next few days) but I've got a pot of coffee brewing anyway. Can't decide what I want to do for dinner tonight but I'm thinking some grilled veggies and a salad...or maybe a turkey burger and a salad. I've come to the conclusion that I've been eating way too many grains and that's what has stalled my weight loss...so I'm cutting back starting today. So if I have that turkey burger later, I think I'll omit the bun and just have it topped w/ lettuce and the Bleu Cheese spread recipe that's a knock off of the Vortex's spread. Yummy!!!

Ruth - Boooooooooo hiss for having to move the ticker back up. Not an easy thing to do, I know. You'll be moving it back down in no time. 84 degrees!?!?!? Oh I don't even want to hear it!!! I definitely am NOT a fan of the hot weather...but swimming pools are calling my name and THAT I *am* a fan of!!!

Mmckellen - Sorry for what you're going through w/ your parents. I know it's difficult but it sounds like you've got a good handle on the situation. I hope it all works out for the best for you AND your parents.

Cottage - Oooh, I do NOT envy Cindy and her hot gear. YUCK!!! Good luck to her, though!!!

Twynn - I hear ya on the running in the heat. I'm trying to get ready b/c I want to be able to do a half-marathon in December...but training in the Georgia heat is NOT fun. LOL Sounds like you've got a busy couple of days...enjoy the visit w/ your in-laws!!!

WaistingTime - Oh wow...it sounds like you have a house full this week!!! Here's to keeping your sanity!!! My niece and nephew stayed here all last weekend, but they are 18 and 16 so they pretty much take care of themselves, LOL

Cyndi - Sounds like you are doing GREAT. Good job!!! I'm thinking that I'm going to try to make a whole grain chocolate cake for my birthday...I found the recipe online the other day. Last year I made a sugar-free low-carb cheesecake (good, but doesn't satisfy that "cake" want, LOL). We'll see what happens this year.

Lexxiss - Hope your allergy test went well. I'm assuming that you're talking about the lovely "let us stick you 100 times and see what welps up" type of test??? Fun!!! That's awesome that you'll be teaching. Water yoga??? Oooh, that sounds SO much better than normal yoga!!! I tried yoga again a few months ago and I didn't like it nearly as much as I did before. I bet I'd like water yoga a lot better, though!!!

zeffryn - Wow, two teachers in one day in this thread...how awesome is THAT!?!?!? Congratulations on the new position. I have been batting around the idea of maybe doing some instructing once I get to my goal weight...but I'm a really nervous public speaker and I'm not sure that I could do it. The more weight I lose the more confidence I gain, though...I might be dangerously over-confident by the time I get to goal, LOL Congratulations, again...how exciting!!!

bkstitch - Welcome back!!! Just keep coming back here and we'll help you get through your first 2 weeks. The ladies here are great encouragers and really helpful w/ tips to help you adjust to your new way of living w/ as little discomfort as possible.

Pearlrose - Sometimes a change of scenery is all you need. I had COML class a few weeks ago (boring Incident Command/Communications Leader/Government Paperwork type class) but it was nice to be out of the radio room and just another pupil. Congrats to your son on his transfer!!!

FurnaceOfAchievement - Congratulations on finishing Phase I!!! Isn't that a great feeling???

Xan - Awwww, no grilling??? The ONLY thing I enjoy about Summer, aside from pools, is being able to grill more often. My thoughts are w/ you on the anniversary of your mom's passing. *hugs*

granchick - Welcome to the site!!! Congratulations on completing Phase I...great feeling, right??? My mom is the exact same age as you and she is LOVING her South Beach way of life!!! The ladies here will definitely help keep you on track. There's a monthly exercise challenge that's good for keeping you on track and moving.

Alright ladies, time for me to try to unstick my sweaty legs from this leather couch and head to the gym. Yuck...this weather is disgusting!!! Have a good night, ladies!!!
