Chicory Root Syrup

I've seen posts about desserts w/ this ingredient listed and I've seen it listed as a no-no as well. What would you guys' opinion be on using granola that is sweetened w/ chicory root syrup??? Sugars are, if I remember correctly, 6g or 7g.

I was hoping maybe Zeff or Debbie would know something about it :shrug: What's the word on glycemic index? That's how I decided to experiment with palm sugar

Chicory syrup is listed as 55 vs. Corn Syrup's 100 on the Glycemic Index.

I honestly hadn't ever noticed chicory root syrup before.
I looked it up. It seems good!!
