that almond butter is a TOTAL trigger food for me. I kept a jar in my office but I just can't keep myself to one or two tbsp. It's unsweetened, but tastes slightly sweet to me, plus it's fatty, and that just makes me want more, more, more. What on plan foods are triggers for you?

Cashews!
Seriously cannot control myself around cashews. Other nuts I can exhibit self control but I definitely have a love/hate relationship with that one.

same here with nut butters. i buy the individual packets of Justin's nut butters just for the portion control. they are way more expensive, but i won't open another one as I would go and take another dip into the nut butter jar.

I have been looking around for the Justin's and can't find them near me (why??). I think that would work for me. I also think almond butter is bad news for me in any form. Peanut butter did not trigger me so much.

they have a bunch of different kinds of butters - hazelnut butter is yums. also, artisana makes a coconut butter (that is just pureed coconut) that is super yummy too. i found some of those in individual packets too.
try amazon to find the packets. i bought a box of packets.

PB is not as much a trigger food for me as a control issue. I have not had it in the house in months. OP bread seems to trigger me. And cereal. I do better when I save "risky" foods for late in the day. Like fruit.

I'm with Karen. Peanut butter/nut butters/nuts as well as certain cheeses are control problems. They taste really good. But they don't make me want to binge and eat my house, probably because they don't affect blood glucose and insulin levels the same way as foods which are my downfall. I have to be careful to stick to lower GI grains (like tortillas over bread and NO whole wheat couscous!).

I agree with Karen - bread, even the healthy whole grain kind is a trigger for me. I eat 2 tbs. of almond butter every night and look forward to it so much! I just made some roasted edamame and had trouble stopping eating it. Good thing I didn't make a very large amount! Sometimes I have trouble with meat portions, especially if it's grilled. Can't wait till the weather warms up.

Nuts in general (including nut butters) are a risky food for me. Some days I can control myself, other days I cannot.

Nuts make me want more nuts. Wheat anything, unless I ea it with a mess of protein, makes me crave sweets.

Wheat anything! I do not plan on adding it back in ever. There are plenty of breads out there without it (HealthMeadow spelt bread). I become a completely out of control binge eater!!!

for you for recognizing that it is a trigger food for you. Hoping it is no longer in your desk.
I have a serious control problem with any on plan artificially sweetened food item. For instance, nsa fudge bars, actually any SB approved desert. One serving is almost an impossible thing for me with these foods. Right now it is the ff plain Greek yogurt with sf jam. So hard not to overeat it!
I had my first ww pancake yesterday (w sf syrup) and didn't notice any craving afterward. Will see how I do today.
